I'm comfortable doing links, but would like to try attaching an image to some posts.

When I click on 'image' I get an http://. Is it possible to attach from my computer without a url?

On the other sites I frequent, I have a 'manage attachments' option. And that's been working very well. Sometimes have to resize, but doing ok with that.

Tried finding an answer by accessing 2Ps info, but don't see a FAQs site that helps.

Appreciate any assistance, but try to keep it simple...

I'm no computer guru but the only way I've found to put an actual image in a thread post is to upload it first to some external site (like photobucket).
I can load something from my computer directly to the gallery here but not directly to a thread.
If someone does know a way to do that I'd like to hear.

If you chose to use an outside host site, I've found photobucket is not to difficult to get started or to bring pictures from to over here , just not sure if you want to bother with the extra step.

Thanx, GC! Think 2Ps should update the attachments option 'cause I'm not about to double my work by putting images on an external.

I wasn't sure there was a way either. Not sure I've ever tried...

Why do you need to go to an outside source for the url? You can use the one here on Two Peas by right clicking and selecting properties.

The only problem is that the size might be too large.

Let's see:

Yep, the size is way too large.

I guess why I go to an external source is for when I want to post a photo that is NOT stamping/card/paper related (like when I have posted photos of the quilting I am sewing or vegetables in my garden). I thought TwoPeas Gallery is only for paper projects....

But if it's a paper project in your TwoPeas gallery then I would do as Daria instructed. Thanks Daria for the instructions!

It looks like I need more detailed instruction, Daria.
When I go to my gallery post here, on two peas, and right click on the picture I get this:

I've tried copying image and copying image address but neither of them seem to work when I bring them over to the thread and try to post them.

What am I doing wrong?

Oops, okay, got it working now...but it is super large. Still, great to know that you can post from the gallery here. Thanks Daria!

So , yes Daniel apparently you can post it here from the two peas gallery.

When you click on 'Image' in the little box below the reply window and you get the little window that opens up, for you to put the address in, just backspace to remove the http that is there and then past the address into the box and i think it will work.

If I've done it right, here is your snowman.

Dar & GC! Thanx! Reason I wanted to attach from my computer is because I have resized some of my gallery uploads & I don't have to type in all the address. Love ya. but don't get into 'just paste & copy'.

Still think 2Ps would do well to make attaching easier & long as I'm wishing? Would really like post writing to have a tool bar that lets me do underline. The 'insert peacode' is time-consuming & limited==aka PITA!

Oh well Daniel, sorry our efforts weren't of more use to you but I did learn something from this exercise so, over all, a win from where I stand.

Doggone U, GC! You (& Daria) were very helpful! Now I know how to use 'image' here @ 2PS.

No mean feat to teach this dog a 'new' trick, pal!

Daniel, it would be nice to be able to add images here the way we can on our blogs. That way we could also change the size of the image.

I suspect posting things as large as what Joanne and I posted isn't a good idea. It uses up too much space. It also gives the impression of screaming.

I think that a link to something in the gallery is the best way to go in most cases.
