One of my mom's traditions (almost a ritual) is to mark important dates on the new calendar before it's hung on Jan. 1. She will circle the days & note whose birthday it is. She'll also circle her dr. appts & jot down the time. Bless her!
We always hang 2 calendars in the kitchen. One's mom's; other's mine. These days I duplicate the dr. appts., but not the b-days .
Anyhoo... I have a small calendar on my computer desk & I've already taken a leaf from mom. So far I've circled the starting date for WinterFest '13. So glad we've standardized our party dates. Check prospurring's sticky thread.
Holding off before circling 'send dates' for Pug's Monthly Tag Swap 'til we see how the on-going goes.
So...Are you pre-marking your 2013 calendars? With what? |

Arggghhhh! It completely slipped my mind to even get a calendar for 2013!! Never gave it a single thought.
Of course we have a calendar on the computer, but I always like to have one hanging in the kitchen, too. Add it to my shopping list....
Hmm, I think I'll try stamping on it when I get it - never thought of that before - thanks Daniel (BTW, can't help but notice that you've referred to me as 'Christan' a few times this week. Just a warning... ). |

LOL, Christin! Pardonmealltopieces... Don't know what I was thinking.
Far as calendars go? We're fortunate. We get free ones from allover. The one from our daily newspaper is my fave for its photos. They are all ones published in the previous year by the paper's 3 staff photographers--all of whom are award winners. Some are worthy of framing & hanging. |

We have the Highlights magazine calendar in our kitchen (free with subscription)! No one buys one for me anymore, lol. I also have a daily planner, and that is what I usually mark stamping events in. I just got my new one today so I will probably work on marking it soon.
I use my phone calendar only a little bit. I still prefer paper for Calendars.
I usually just mark the birthdays and hope I get the card sent on time. |

We get tons of free calendars, but I go to the stationary store and buy one that has no pictures but lots of space for writing. All the birthdays and anniversaries are already on it. So are my upcoming appointments, work days, and the next couple of stamp shows within 50 miles or so. LOL.
Now I'll go add the Two Peas Stamping Celebrations.

Thanks for the reminder! I need to get a calendar! I never picked one up last year (I use to always get one as a christmas gift but didnt last year!)and had papers and sticky notes everywhere. It drove me crazy. I need to pick one up and get it filled out. It keeps me more organized and less forgetful of birthdays and such.
Daniel, you mentioned Winterfest. When is it this year? |

I believe Winterfest will start on 2/9. Is that right? Gee, that's not very long away! |

Based on Prospurring's sticky, I came up with the same start date as Christin.
Yes. It's not all that far away... |
