Ancient Ancestor of Pea
|Posted: 1/7/2013 10:39:33 AM|Never had so much trouble cutting these dies. Couldn't have without the metal shim. The SPB Decorative Labels 8 was especially difficult, and the Memory Box Kaleidoscope Butterfly has always been a pain. I expect those of us who love the MB dies are always going to find one or two which do not cut well because they are so intricate.
Here's a card I've made using both mentioned dies.

Where do I get a metal shim?
I have not ever tried using a metal shim before---only the rubber mats, and then I shim with CS or thicker acetate (like the plastic used in packaging items sold in stores).

I'm with Melissa, I've never seen a metal shim before. I use folded cardstock but after a while it starts to fall apart. I wonder if a metal shim will hold up better.
