I know this has happened to lots of us. You're going thru your stashes--stamps, papers, trims, etc.--searching for something you know you have. You end up finding everything BUT the item you want.
However, lots of the other stuff you find ends a being a 'better' item or sends your project in a completely different direction.
Sound familiar?
Happened to me as I was searching for a stamp to 'finish' a tag for a swap. 'Course I really like the other stamp, but what I might have been able to finish in just an hour or so is taking a bit more time...
So... Care to share any similar experiences? |

I just had one of these moments two days ago. I was wanting to use washi tape on my card to make a flower, but it is semi-transparent and wasn't vibrant like I wanted it to be. I kept trying to figure out what card stock I could use to make the tape stand out more and spent a lot of time! Then I stumbled over some very bright sticky back ribbon and used that instead! I got the look I wanted!

I really wanted to use an eyelet on a project the other day. I must have moved them when I reorganized and could not find them anywhere.
Got obsessed about finding them for a little awhile. Then I just made myself move on. I used a brad instead.
But I still haven't finished the project. It hasn't been touched since Sunday. |
