Hey stampers, I'm thinking about buying a chevron stamp for layouts (don't do cards) and want something non wood backed. Anyone have any favorites? |

Yes. Hero Arts has a nice one in clear polymer.

Thanks I-95! I just googled and found that one that's co-branded with Studio Calico but it's not clear? Is there another? |

So, Montana Cowgirl, do you have some deep seated issue with red rubber stamps? I think I see a 'clear' prejudice here

Heidi, I love the Lawn Fawn set! Thanks, not sure I want to spend $15 on one but maybe! |

Actually I-95 I used to be a Stampin Up rep when they first started and even used to go to "Dots" parties, so the love of red rubber is there, the storage space just isn't. I've never used a cling stamp though. |

LOL!! The red rubber with cling on the back are great...they stamp better than the polymer ones, and last a whole lot longer...and they don't take up any space at all

The cling rubber stamps are kindof like the best of both worlds. The clear are easier to line up though, IMO.
If you think about versatility, the $15 for the lawn fawn set gives you 3 options + to mix and match! Just a thought.
Stamps of Life also has a clear Chevron set called Chevrons2stamp. You could google it.

Thanks ladies! I'll take the plunge (always late to the party) and try the cling stamps.

A clear chevron stamp full background would take up just a much room as just a rubber unmounted but it would be lighter weight. Unless you weren't looking for a full background I got a small wood $1 chevron Studio G stamp (the image is 1"x2 1/4" at M's the other day. |
