This challenge is for WF13 and runs from 02/09/12 to 02/17/13.

I would like for you to create a project where you use fibers on your project.

The project must also include stamping.

The fibers that I used on my sample card included very thin pink paper with what looks like a fiber running thru it, burlap that has been frayed, twisted fibers of yarn, ribbons.

For this card more is better than less.

There will be a RAK for this project.

Hi, Ann! The link for your sample card didn't work for me, so here is another link to Ann's (lickeyan's) WF13 Fiber sample card. Thanks for hosting!

Ann, I have a ton of fibers that I haven't even looked at forever. I was just thinking about using them, so your challenge comes at a perfect time.

I had a fabric flower that was perfect for this challenge.

ETA: I added some more of the old "Adorn-It fibers to the left side of the card. The gallery is being wonkey, so I had to post it as a completely separate entry instead of with the first version of the card. This now links to the new picture.

In response to the question about what fibers are in the flower - The flower actually has five "layers." From bottom to top, they are white felt, blue tulle, burlap, some kind of cotton blend weave in a paisley print, and then a fourth layer that is not fiber, it's pattern paper. The two buttons are sewn on to all that with some blue thread, but the red is not fiber either, as it is drawn onto the pattern paper. Some friends of mine are the decorating committee at church. They used a whole bunch of burlap flowers to decorate the church for two events, then decided every woman at the second event should take one of the jars or flowers home. The flower originally had one more layer of burlap flower and a muslin flower under these, and was attached to some more burlap I could have used these as a pillow top if I had wanted to. I actually have been fraying the burlap and using it for a number of other paper craft projects since then.

I really hope Canvas is a fiber. I made DH look it up and it is supposedly made from cotton nowadays. I also used some ribbon.

My Entry.

Thanks for the challenge!

I combined your challenge with 'Mostly Masking'. A little bit of hemp cord just finished it off nicely.

Thanks for a fun challenge. I used 3 different fibers -- canvas, mesh and fiber ribbon.

I had 15 entries to this challenge and I loved all of the cards.

The winner is eagertoretire's fan. I love how she weaved the fibers thru the fan.

I will be sending you an e mail so you make make a choice of the RAK's I have available.
