Game Instructions:
This is a fun chatty new game that I wanted to try out with our stamping event.

Answer the question Have You Ever? Please make it stamping/crafting related. Then ask your own Have You Ever Question.

Once someone replies they will answer your question and then post a Have You Ever question of their own.

Have fun with it!!!

Here is the First Have You Ever Question:

Have you Ever bought a duplicate stamp not realizing you already owned it.

My answer: I sure have. Unfortunately more times than I care to admit. At least I really liked it enough to buy it 2 times.

Yes. I have bought duplicates unknowingly.

Have you ever added 'scent' to a stamped project--on purpose?

No. I have allergies so I find most scents annoying.

Have you ever made a card for one person or purpose but then had to "fix" it so you could give to another?

I've missed someone's birthday and then switched out the BD sentiment so I could send to them later!

I have added scents (cucumber melon on some, coffee on some) to paper projects, but I can't remember if any of them had stamping.

Have you ever created a project with coffee, tea or another liquid normally used for human consumption (other than water)?

Woops, I should have been paying more attention. In answer to Lianne's question, I make cards, forget to send them, and then alter them (or to borrow a term I've seen here, cannibalize them and make new cards.)

No, I've never made a project with coffee, tea, or other liquid for human consumption. I am serious about liking food and so I tend not to use if for other purposes!

Have you ever used a twig, leaf, or other item found in nature on a card or paper project?

Yes, I have used twigs, feathers and shells.

Have you ever thrown out a card you were making because it just wouldn't work?

Yay, a fun new game! Thanks Neysa (did I spell that right?).

April, no, I don't think I've ever thrown a card out - I'm a hoarder, so if I don't like it, I just store it away in a corner, unfinished, and hope that one day I will like it enough to finish it!

Have you ever...

Used a toaster to heat emboss?

(works really well - I do it all the time!)

Yes, I have used a toaster to heat emboss. That is all I used for a long time.

Have you ever used real bubble wrap as a stamp on a card or scrapbook page?

Yes Pottle, I have stamped with bubble wrap, it works great to create interesting bgs.

Have you ever "cleaned" your work table by scraping every piece of scrap into the wastebasket?

Fun game!

No Marshia, I have never cleaned my desk by swiping everything into the waste basket, I keep most scraps.

(And I just have to write that when I first discovered heat embossing, I went totally crazy and embossed and embossed with my parent's toaster, it got ruined and I had to get them a new one. Much prefer my heat gun!).

Have you ever tipped over a container of embossing powder so that it all fell out on your work surface?

No I have never tipped over embossing powder. Embossing overwhelms me so I only do it under force/duress during WF events or Stamping Conventions.

A toaster- never would have thought.

Have You Ever- Used binder clips on a card (I did recently and it was cute).

Glad you are all having fun w/ this game.

No I haven't broken the C plate on my cuttlebug. I am lucky to have all the plates still in pretty good shape!

Have you ever contaminated a jar of embossing powder, or a ink pad, and had to throw them out?

Yes & No! 'Contaminated' both items, but used them 'cause they weren't dead.

No I have never stamped ON food, but when I was a child we carved stamps out of potatoes, and made paint with food coloring, water and flour, then stamped the h out of some grocery bags.

Do you still own any foam stamps? (Or have you ever?) The big flower stamp I used on two of my cards is foam, and I own several others.

Yes! I do own foam stamps. And still use on occasion.

Have you ever put the wrong lid on an ink pad and then stamped the wrong color because of this?

I still have 1 foam stamp that I use every Halloween. Just can't get rid of it.

Have you ever dropped food on your card and instead of starting a new one, just covered it because it was an awesome card?

I've been SO CLOSE to throwing out a couple of stamps at times. Small clear stamps are so easy to sweep up with the rubbish. I think I've managed to save them each time though.

Have you ever... Let your toddler children/grandchildren (or other toddler children) stamp with YOUR stamps and ink?

Yes! My almost 2 year old loves to stamp with mama. I used to let him use one of my inks but turned out too messy. He now owns his own washable me ink pad. He's quite crafty!

Have you ever stamped and NOT made a mess?

For LeighAnn's question -- I might have once or twice! But I am uaually using glitter or doing a technique, so most of the time it is very messy! LOL!

Heidi -- I never bought a stamp on Ebay, just too time consuming to keep up with it for me.

Have you ever started a project that really should be easy and not take you a long time, but it turned into a major, long project? Has happened to me often. LOL!

I am the slowest crafter ever! So yes, even the simplest of cards or layouts takes me hours and can seem like a major project.

Have you ever submitted an old project for a new challenge, essentially claiming it was a new project?

Oh, Michele, you're so wicked!

I did this ONCE, I think it was during CHA or something last year and I had made the card just a couple of days before the challenges were posted, and it just coincidentally fit the requirements.

But let me assure you all I would NEVER do this for a Stamping board challenge!! That would be like lying to friends! (IMO)

Ok, confession time over...

Have you ever... Bought a craft supply extremely similar to something you just purged?

Sorry to put you on the spot there Christin! I too have submitted a couple of old projects to challenges. But to manufacturers, not to my stampy friends at Two Peas! And this was only when I first started doing challenges... now I'm only doing challenges if they are really a source of inspiration to do a new project, otherwise what's the point?

Now to answer lovepug2's question... I often lose clear stamps while working and find them a couple hours later, but I currently have 2 clear stamps that I cannot find at all and have been missing for months!

Next question: Has any of your crafty work been published?

Edited to change the format of my question to Have you ever, here it is:

Yes! I did some Christmas cards for a friend, and this isn't really stamp related but I've sold several painting before.

Lol, Furry - going thru that one at the moment! I really want to use a cotton doily on Ann's Fibre challenge, but I think everything else would come together if I just gave up on the doily! Need to work on that today!

Have you ever spilled an entire bottle of glitter everywhere and try to salvage as much as you can because its just so pretty?!
