Good Monday morning. The Monday after the Spring Forward time change is always tough. Today is no different.

I have a feeling that many StampPeas are as busy as me, considering how slow the forum has been lately.

Anyone doing any projects or have special plans for St Patty's day? We usually make reuben sandwiches, but may have that the day before or day after this year.

I am still deciding what to make for dinner tonight. Have a good one!

Yay! I got my pea icon with the 1!

It's the little things, LOL.

So it's cold and rainy here today. Supposed to flurry but no real snow. The rain is melting what we have so we can see grass bits again!

Volunteered all day Saturday at a singing festival at the kid's high school. She had 4 spots, sang a solo, did 2 duets and a triple trio. She got a First on her solo which means next year she can do a theatre singing piece if she likes. Worked the food stand and bought some of the leftovers so we've been having brats and turkey sammies for dinner the last 2 days. Now I have 10 baked potatoes to do something with!

I really need to update my website but am procrastinating. It's such a job and only working on that part of it every few years means re-learning the programming aspects. Yuck!

Did some 3 by 3 thank you cards yesterday. I am so not into washi tape, I gave all mine away in a swap. But someone sent me more! LOL. So I used it on these and they came out cute.

Finished my April tag. I'm fairly happy with it.

Y'all have a great Monday!

Kathy Congrats to your daughter for her solo win. AND to you for your first anniversary!

Heidi, No special plans for St. Patty's day. I've been toying with the idea of making mac & cheese and adding some blue food color. I'm just not sure I wouldn't have to close my eyes to eat it! LOL.

Weather remains cold and rainy here also. Did manage to get the grass mowed over the weekend between showers. I NEED sunshine!

My projects for this week- Remake my Tree inspired tag and finish 20 Easter cards. I'm already behind, Easter is March 31. Yikes! Gotta go now!

Top O' the Morning, All!

Yeah, Heidi. We are in a slow period with forum traffic. 'Sok. Long as we don't go completely silent.

Congrats on getting your yearly badge, Kathy! I 'turn' 7 in April. Sometimes feels like lots of recent StamPeas like you, Heidi, Pug, Christin, etc. have been here much longer than your dates indicate--y'all are such active members.

The time change wasn't a big prob this year, but I still have to clean up the debris from the Sunday fall (see my last post on last week's chat). Also have to check out the floor lamp that the shadowbox knocked over when it fell. I may do some today, but mom has a dr. appt. so not gonna push. Should do laundry, too. Might run some thru this morning. Her appt. is early afternoon so there's time.

We had sunday dinner 'out'. Weather was (& is) sunny & warm & dinner was delish! We both had soup to start--Italian wedding for me; veggie beef for mom. Mom had fried chicken & I had turkey & filling. As always the portions were generous & we both brought leftovers home & ate them for supper. With 2 coffee services the bill was $20. With tip $25. Not bad at all. No idea what we're eating today. We'll see what we want after mom's appt.

Plan on doing more to finish up my medal & then start the April tag.

Best get moving, so y'all have a terrific today!

ETA: Morning, Marshia! Hope you get your sunshine soon. We're enjoying ours, but chance of rain tonite > tomorrow & turning a bit cooler locally.

I'am here, but not much to say - Sat outside in the sun yesterday while dgs and his friend played outside. I was all bundled up - was a little windy- but had to have the sun on my face. Put my lawn chair in full sun on concrete so was pretty cozy and the sun felt so good.

Today, is not cleaning day, but pick up and put away - as uch as I can stand throught out the house. Lego are taking over my house, but dgs loves then and makes neat stuff with them. Who really cares how my house looks, it is a fun place to be.

We will have green scrambled eggs on Sunday and we already have the Leprechaun house ready.

Might do Irish Stew for St. Patty's day, if I can hold out that long. I have some frozen lamb in the freezer and have been craving the stew, so may give in and make it earlier in the week.

Sorry to read about the shelf mess Daniel and the loss of some sentimental pieces. It's true they are only things but somethings represent a little more, in that they feel like ties to the past for us and, once they are gone we almost feel like we have lost that little piece of our past. Maybe it is healthier for us to let go and move on, but still a bit of a wrench.

After waxing all deep and nostalgic there, think I'd better move on myself and get on with the cleaning out of my bathroom cabinet, not much sentimental there, just lots of bottles with dribs and drabs of dried up lotion or old shampoo that need to be tossed.

Thanx, GC. I think the one broken that mom will miss is her 'drummer boy' music box (ceramic). It was the first I bought for her many years ago. But looks like lots of other pieces survived.

Mom had an excellent checkup! Her Dr. is a geriatician & very good! He makes it a point to work with both of us & I am very grateful for that.

Mom's making herself something to eat so I'm not playing cook today. Not sure what I'll eat, but that's no prob.

Gotta get back to working on some projects.

Later, gators!

Kathy, congrats on your daughter's solo! Daniel, sorry to hear about the crash. Glad not too many things are broken.

I ran errands this morning with a stop at Hobby Lobby for some kraft colored card stock and of course some other things. You can't get out of there without getting more!

After lunch I cleaned house and am now just resting. I have T-bone steak left over from grilling yesterday, so no cooking tonight.

We had a beautiful, warm weekend. It is pretty warm today, but cloudy and windy.

Hope you all are having a good day.

Enjoying a lovely rainy day--almost Springlike. I like an (occasional) rainy day--very soothing.

Did laundry & starting to work on the April tag ideas. Gotta find a stamp I want to try using. Definitely time to clean up the work table a bit.

We've decided to order out for supper. Doing Italian. We'll share entrees--chesse manicotti & (probably) ravioli. We'll get meatballs, too--theirs are yummy. Dinners come with bread (fresh-baked) & side salads. We like their antipasto (salad) so we'll share a small one to add to our other salads. Might turn the bread into garlic/cheese toast. I split the small loaves & toast them. Then I mix garlic & grated parm cheese with butter to spread on the hot toast. Tasty & simple.

That's about all for the moment. Hope y'all are having a nice today.

Catchya later!

It was quite rainy here today. I did not accomplish that much today. I did work on a card for the oval challenge. I want to do the Photo Inspiration that ends Friday also.

I had my second step aerobics tonight. It was MUCH easier this week after realizing what some of the basics are. I was really tired at the end, but not sore. So yay!

Kathy, that is wonderful that your daughter got a great score on her solo!

Eager, not sure what I think of your mac n cheese idea! lol

Ann, legos are wonderful toys, but I have a firm rule that they are only allowed in one room of the house.

Daniel, I'm glad your mom had a great check up and that you have a doctor you both are happy with! I'm sorry your mom lost some of her keepsakes, but glad no one got hurt. My mom has some keepsakes that I wish would fall off the wall into a thousand pieces. She has some incredibly ugly teacups. Just a few of her collection are awful, even she thinks so, but she won't get rid of them.

Gardencat, what is Irish Stew?

Have a nice evening!

We had a nice dinner out with some friends this evening. We took them to one of our favorite restaurants for beef brisket! Had enough to bring home for tomorrow! We went on a lovely walk downtown by the river -- was really warm here today and just a little nippy tonight.

Getting colder and windy tomorrow they say.

Was able to start and finish a scrapbook page today for the design team. I don't scrapbook, so it is a bit challenging for me. I have one more to do that I hope to start on tomorrow afternoon after Bible Study.

Hope everyone has a good night!

I completely overslept this morning. One kid missed the bus. However, driving him to school gave me the opportunity to pass near to an M's so I went in and they had some Inktense pencils so I bought the small set.

I have a dr appt this afternoon. Also need to clean because in just a few days we are having company and then a family party.

It is lovely weather today! Cool and sunny!

Happy Hump Day!

Definitely cooler today & the temp trend is back to late winter--highs only in the low 40s.

We're planning to do groceries today. Neither of us really wants to go out, but today is the best day, so... Going to wait til early afternoon, tho'.

Our takeout was quite good. We got the manicotti & stuffed shells. Shared them between us. We agreed that the shells were our fave, but the manicotti wasn't bad. Mom ate well, but has some leftovers. And we have the majority of the antipasto to use, as well. Since it's colder & mom has a late Dr. appt. tomorrow, I'm making 'pea' soup (canned peas, taters, onions & ground beef). I'll put it together in the morning & reheat when we get back from the doctor. We have some crusty bread in the freezer, so we'll use it with our soup. We both like to sop up the broth with bread.

I'm at the point with my April tag where I have to make some difficult decisions, but it's coming along.

Have to laugh. While looking for a particular stamp (found it), I ran across a pack of 4 egg stamps I've never used! LOL. Not sure I'll use them for an 'egg' project, but fun to have rediscovered them.

It's pushing for noon, so I'd best move it along.

Hope everyone has a terrific day.

Have gotten back from Bible Study and going online a bit before lunch. Lunch is leftovers from our night out last night.

Hoping to start on my other scrapbook page which will be a male page. I have a good idea that I hope comes across. One never knows how the idea will look on "paper" LOL!

Colder and windy today like they predicted, so staying in to craft.

Have a great day!

Just back from doing the grocery run & I'm in for the day, too! Not arctic, but it is colder with some flakes.

Mom's having leftovers, too, April. I might boil an egg or two & turn some of the antipasto salad into a chef salad since it already has meat, cheese, olives & more.

Thinking of reading a bit & taking a nap.

Hi Guys! I've got a lot to catch up on!

So my computer had been acting up a bit the past month or so and I thought it had finally bit the dust, I had to take it in last week to get de-bugged, now she's good as new! I tried to post a few times from my phone but theres so many glitches with the app I gave up!

It's chilly here today and I'm more than ready for spring! I haven't told you guys but I am expecting another little one in the fall, so that's another reason why I haven't been around as much! The all day nausea is taking it's toll and I'm more than ready to get past it. I feel like this little guy 24/7, lol!

Daniel, your takeout you had sounds good, Italian food is probably one of my faves! I got your medal finished and sent it out today. I really enjoyed making it and used lots of techniques on it so that was fun.

Heidi, I've been wanting to try those pencils too. Can't wait to see what you create with them. I've watched so many videos on them and they look great. I have a set of prismacolors but lately the lead keeps breaking very easily in them. It's so aggravating!

Stampwilly, I started out in papercrafting scrapbooking. Now, I have a hard time coming up with scrapbook pages so I just gave up on it! Cards are much more fun to make!

I've got lots of threads to catch up on, hope everyones having a great day!

AGGGHHHHHH!!!!! LeighAnn!!!!!! That's so so so cool! Congratulations! I was wondering if you would soon, knowing that your little one is about 2. IKWYM about the . I was horribly sick with both of mine. I'd like a third but don't know if I can bare (bear? I've had a brain-freeze) another three months of sickness. So, Fall, that's like Septemberish?

I also have not been around much and it is pretty much completely glitch related. My spare time with little ones is usually in 10 minute lots, and so I'm used to jumping on the App 2 or 3 times a day. If I have to start up the computer, and then get onto the internet, that's 5 minutes gone already! With the App playing up, I just haven't been checking in much. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Marshia and Ann, I made "green" scrambled eggs about 15 years ago (I don't even remember why) and it took me a long time to get back into eating scrambled eggs again - it just wasn't right!

GC, I LOVE Irish stew! Haven't made it for ages, though, cause it takes so long.

Heidi, that was a very convenient oversleep!

My littlest was wide awake before 6 this morning - it was still dark! i was not impressed. And now we're all paying for it, cause she's grumpy! Well, hopefully I can put her to bed early tonight and get some crafting done! Haven't done much lately.

Heidi, sorry haven't had a chance to get on here in a while and missed your Irish Stew question.
It's basically a stew made with lamb meat and potatoes. My recipe calls for peas too but I'm not sure if that is an ingredient in all recipes for it. It's not the same one my mom used to make but a different version that we do in a crock pot so put it on in the morning and it's ready at dinner time.

Got to run again. I'll have to catch up with everyone else's posts later today.

Congratulations LeighAnn!!! I hope that you are able to feel like a human being again soon and get lots of naps.

Not sure when I will have time for the pencils. Hopefully soon!

Thanks for explaining Irish Stew, gardencat! I would also use a crock pot recipe, when available. Sounds good. Lamb is not easy to come by in my area, but maybe I should try to expand my horizons.

Christin, I hope your little one goes to bed very early tonight and you get time for crafting. It probably is already that time where you are situated in the world...

The winds of change came last night and now it feels an awful lot like winter again. My spring bulbs are all about halfway grown. My parents are coming to visit for a week starting Saturday, so today I plan to do some cleaning and prep for them. Company is always a great incentive for doing those cleaning projects you don't want to do, like vacuuming under the sofas and so on...

Daniel, I like your Italian food idea, so I think maybe that is what we'll have for dinner. But something home made probably.

Hi all,

Cold and snowy here again today. I tell ya, as soon as it gets in the 30's and starts melting, some one says.. oh, they must have more snow, LOL.

Congrats LeighAnn!!! How awesome!

Yea, I'm not that fond of eggs, green ones?? I think I wouldn't eat them again for a while, lol . No special plans for St. Patty's Day. Maybe cook a corned beef in the crock pot but that would be it. I worked yesterday so brought home Chinese for dinner. It was yummy.

Heidi, I keep checking my M's for Inktense pencils and can't find the smaller pack. I don't want to pay a fortune for a huge pack and them not like them, hehehe.

I'm in for the day, let the kid take my truck to school, hehehe. Hmm... what to cook for dinner....

On the weather front, Heidi? Amen! Baby it's COLD outside! Wouldn't be so bad, but the gusty wind really bites. And speaking of babies...

Hooray, LeighAnn! Congrats to you & yours! Here's hoping you have an easy time soon. Must be so tuff dealing with the morning . It's so nice to have you back with us.

Same to you Christin. Although I don't even have a 'dumb phone', I can certainly see where the 'app' is an easier way to go. Hope all those who use the phone app will nag 2Ps tech to get it working correctly. The way it is now, it affects more than the users. I miss lots of 'app' posts to our threads.

St. Pat's food? Not a fan of Irish stew. Mom used to do a version. She used beef since we don't care for lamb. No peas in hers, but she put in potatoes, onions & carrots. Around here, corned beef & cabbage is the 'Irish' dish. Mom likes it; I don't. I like cabbage--not crazy about corned beef.

Mom has a dr. appt. this afternoon (her cardiologist). I have to ask him about her continuing with Pradaxa. I need to be very diplomatic, but based on our conversation with her geriatrician, I have real concerns. We'll see how it goes.

We've decided on 'pea' soup for supper today. I need to get it put together & start it cooking so mom can eat when we get home. She made herself a good breakfast when she got home from the hairdresser this morning, so she's in good shape for a while.

I want to get more done on my April tag, but that may have to wait til later today or tomorrow. BUT... I do have a piece I can share.

My piece for a recycle challenge on another site got uploaded courtesy of 'Beady'. We had to use newspaper. I did a beastly bookmark.

Details are hard to see, but IRL they show. And StampWilly did a wonderful project for the challenge, too!

Speaking of food... Didya'all know today is 'Pie Day'. It's a play on today's date--3/14--which is the math shorthand for 'Pi' (3.14...). I love pie--sweet or savoury! My fave sweet? Sour cherry. My fave savoury? Shepherd's with brown gravy.

Hope y'all have a great today! Catch ya later.

Howdy all. My 11 year old daughter and I plan to paint our nails green.
I am looking for a fun way to make a "green" meal and we will be building a leprechaun catcher. It was 60 last weekend and now it has been snowy with flurries. Gotta love Michigan weather.

No stamping on the horizon for me. Have a lot of cleaning to do for our annual easter egg hunt.

Just wanted to pop in, say Hi, and catch up with you all.

Morning All!

Weather here is unremarkable--not arctic, but definitely not Spring, either. I'm gonna look the groundhog up & have a brief chat with him.

Mom's dr. appt. seemed to take forever yesterday. Nothing wrong, but I don't have a real rapport with him (her cardiologist).

The pea soup turned out pretty good, but (like our weather) unremarkable. Not sure what's for 'eats' today. Mom finished off the mush for her breakfast so she's good for a bit.

Need to do some laundry & vacuum today. Ho Hum!

Wow! Middle of March already! This month is living up to its name.

Hoping to tackle more for my April tag today. It's been slow-going since the initial rush of work done. Happens. That said, I think I have an idea that will get me rolling again.

Mom doesn't have any dr. appts. 'til Jun, so we have some breathing room there.

Hope everyone on the 'chatline' has a good one today!

Morning/afternoon everyone!

I'm posting this from phone, there was an update on the app yesterday so lets see if this works!

Thanks for all the congrats! We're very excited about a new addition to our family. I'm also excited that I should be over the 24/7 soon.

The sites been a little slow lately, I'm wondering if it has to do with the app and site glitches or the fact that warmer weather is trying to sprout up. I've been pretty bummed about the app not working. As Chrisitnmay said its very convenient and much easier for me to hop on my phone than turn on the computer.

I haven't had much time to craft lately other than swaps I've participated in. I'm hoping to get some time in tomorrow.

The weather is perfect and spring like today but rainy and back in the 50s next week.

Im going to check out some more threads.Hope everyone's getting some sunshine this weekend!

We've got flurries out there today. Supposed to turn to rain tonight.

Plan on working on my April tag this afternoon. Already had my tree stamp picked out and I found a quote stamp this morning that I liked. Also have to make 5 cards for a sketch swap I'm in and stamp up 3 dozen images for an image swap I'm in. If I get all that done, I can cross everything off my swap calendar as completed.

"I'm dreaming of a White 'St. Paddy's'"! Our 'flurries' continue & forecast isn't calling for a switch to rain here. Kinda pretty, but jonesing for some warmer (sustained) temps--I'll settle for 50s to start.

Furnace man came this morning & put a new guage in the tank. Glad. I don't want to have to guess about how much oil we have.

Taking a well-earned break from my April tag (see post on the tag thread).

Mom thawed some more of her chicken & noodles. Not sure what I want to munch today. I might order a pizza later. Doing chicken livers for our Sunday dinner.

Just spotted a roll of 'honeycomb' ribbon. Might make some diecuts just for fun.

Hope y'all continue to have a good today & ctchya later!

Had an unexpected day yesterday since we ended up driving to a neighbouring town to drop off one of my sons' pieces of computer equipment for repair. My husband could have gone on his own but I decided to keep him company and take my camera in hopes of getting some country shots on the way. I did get some interesting shots but more or less lost the whole day as far as doing anything else.

This son works as an illustrator and it is a feast or famine type life. Right now he is working two jobs and 16 hour days so, when his graphics tablet stopped working he wanted it fixed fast but there was no way he could spare the time to take it to the distributor for repair.

Today I am sorting through photos from 2012 to enter in a photo contest. Only one entry allowed and it is a tough decision of which one to go with. Not that I expect to have much chance to win but the prize is pretty good so figure I might as well make the effort. As a result of all the photography focus right now ( pun intended) i haven't had much time to do stamping or paper crafts. Hopefully I'll get back to that soon.

Erin Go Braugh, y'all!

Our newspaper's weatherman called yesterday a 'sneaky storm'. It took lots of drivers by surprise. We only got about an 1" of fluffy white, but some places got 4". Lots of traffic accidents on the interstates. And it looks like we're in for a 'slop storm' mon>tues. Yuk!

On the upside? We don't have any places we have to travel next few days.

Today's dinner is simple. Going to saute chicken livers with onions. Sides of rice pilaf, gravy, creamed corn & green beans. Gonna make 'missouri' casserole for monday.

Crafts? Want to work on my April tag some.

Nice to see the phone app seems to be working better for the users.

For St. Patrick's...

May everything, but your jewelry turn green today! And may a leprechaun move into your garden. We have one & his name is 'Paddy 'O Furniture'.
May none of your diamonds be 'sham' rocks...

Have a good'un!

Happy St. Pats!

Sorry about the weather some of you peas are having! I feel bad complaining about our 50 degree temps .
I don't mind the temps it just stinks when we have these days where it's 75 and sunny then the next day it's barely 50 and rainy. Make up your mind crazy weather!

I liked your St. Pattys day poem, Daniel.
I haven't had chicken livers in forever. My granny and I are the only ones in our family that eats them. I know it sounds really weird but we used to dip them in 1000 island dressing. Now I'm getting hungry!

We're having blts and sweet potato chips for lunch. For dinner panko breaded chicken, rice and veggies.

I have one little element left to finish on my April tag so I can get it in the mail tomorrow. I also need to make 2 birthday cards.
I also want to work on some egg cards for Daniels challenge.

I'm off to get started on lunch! Chat back later

LOL, Pug! Thousand Island is my fave dressing! Right up there with Ranch as a dip & more! We saute our livers so they're not very dippable. I love them in a good crumb or batter coating deep-fried, but mom prefers them dredged in seasoned flour. Mom had her dinner & said it was good.

I'm taking another break from the April tag. I got more done--including some coloring with my crayons--always love breaking out the Crayolas! Might get back to it today, but it's still got a couple days to go & I think there's going to be some masking needed. 'Sok! I'm having fun & I have time!

Yeah. I might actually get an egg or 3 started, too. I'm in a mood to stamp & craft today. Unusual for me on a Sunday.
