Here's the official May tag swap thread. Once your partner has received their tag, please post it here so we can all see! I've also created a blog to link it to, the link will be below.

Here's the list of swap partners for the May Tag Swap.
LynzyLou and howdyheidi
tyuill1976 and YellowCherrios
Christinmay and looser
CaribbeanGirl and eagertoretire
taradid and SWEETly Made
Far North and SWLady
Beady and lovepug2

I think I got everyone, and I think I was able to partner everyone up with new partners. I wonder if that will get more difficult as the months go on?

Just PM your swap mate to exchange mailing addresses.

A reminder of this month's swap
Theme is flowers, Image stamping is a requirement, and you must do some stamp masking on your tag. You can do a little or a lot, that's up to you. I know there were some questions about stenciling being a form of masking. For this month I was thinking stamp masking but be on the lookout for stenciling for a future month, I really like that idea! If you even want to on this tag, you could do stenciling and stamp masking. Totally up to you.

Also, this month's tag doesnt have to be a rectangle if you want to use a different shape or even some sort of folded tag would be fun too. As long as your partner can hang it if they would like.

Try and have your tag to your partner by May 5th. I think that's it!
Any other questions just post them here!

Hooray! I'm delighted to have Christin as my swapmate for the Merrie Month of May! Her location & seasonal shift from mine already gives me some ideas.

I'll pm her so we can exchange addresses.

Thanks Pug! Since this thread will also be our 'link to' one? I'm suggesting we use it for questions, tips & such, too.

I realize we may not post to it every day, but it is so nice to hear from all those swapping as we go along.

I like the possibility of using stenciling along with the (required) masking. It adds an extra challenge to the mix without being a necessity.

Beady and I have exchanged addresses. She said in her PM she didn't know what she was going to do yet. Neither do I! One would think that I would already have an idea when I start these swaps but I never do!

I plan to look through my stuff today and get it all together.

Ok, when I signed up for this months tag I was really scared. I had NO idea what I was doing, but after researching I figured it out. And I love it!! So is it sad to say my tag is, lets say.... pretty much done. Just a few thing to add!! Thanks Pug for this months theme!!

My May tag went into the mailbox on Saturday! I really had fun with this one, and it didn't hurt that what I created was exactly what I'd envisioned. And that RARELY happens. I love it when a plan comes together lol. Watch your mailbox Caribbean Girl it's headed your way.

CaribbeanGirl I'm so glad you like the tag. It was really fun to make and I LOVE flutterbys!

There's masking everywhere too, butterfly to butterfly, butterflies to bg and even the faux ric-rac at the bottom was created by masking.

All the tags look terrific.

Mine is coming along. It's at the 'dangerous' stage, so I'm not going to push. It will get 'down under' before too long, tho'.

LOL, Toni! I hearya on the 'finish' part.

Mine is 'finished'. Have to get to the PO so I can mail it. Hopefully this week. PO is just across the street from the supermarket. So I can run in there before I do groceries.

Christin. Just a polite reminder. I am unable to scan/photo & upload. I'm looking forward to what you did. I'm sure I'll like it alot!

I kept mine 'simple'...

As I said in my praise for Melissa, her tag is a wonderful example of how 'simple masking' can be so effective.

Couple that simple masking with great coloring & detailing & you get wonderful pieces like this.

So pleased to see all the great May tags!

Got my tag today & wonderful! Christin deliberately used one of my fave motifs for the focal image. What fun!

Can't wait to see it in her gallery so I can praise.

Glad you like the tag LeighAnn. That pansy is my favorite floral stamp. I did make the envelope. I though it was time to use some of the wallpaper samples I've been hoarding.

Here is my tag: May Tag

Your tag came today LeighAnn, Thanks for that gorgeous tag and all the goodies. I love the vibrant colors and the shine on the stamped images. Did you use Diamond Glaze or something else?

Beady, that's so neat. I would have never guessed it being a wallpaper sample!

I'm glad you liked everything. I coated my image in UTEE(ultra thick embossing powder) to give it the shiny look.

I love everyone's tags so far!

Floral Tag on Patterned Paper

I was kindof thinking of Daniel's patterned paper challenge when I made this tag. It was fun, a bit out of the box for me to use a cute image, but I might have sold myself on cute!

Terrific, Pug. Always fun when we decorate/construct envelopes for our pieces. I don't do it nearly enough. Might make a fun swap sometime.

Heidi. Wanted to comment on your 'cute' comment. I'm not fond of lots of the sugary sweet images, but your skunk stamp is just 'cute enough' for me.

2 BTWs... Beady. Yep! Monsieur Le Peu is one of my fave characters. But love the pussycats who add a stripe in so many of his cartoons.

Heidi. I mispelled parentheses. Bugged me 'cause I knew it was wrong. I repeat that your use of silk flowers as brackets for the stamping is excellent!

Gonna be a race to see who gets my May & June tags first. May is in transit & June will be by week's end.

How're we all doing with our May tags?

Just checked the blog & see Caribbean's is there. Had to LOL on her 'sideways' tag.

Mine should be getting close to Australia.

Anyone still struggling to finish &/or mail their's?
