Please please, see the BLOG POST for the sketch and all the other information and requirements!

I want you to know that this is not an original idea, but is something that I have seen being done quite a bit around in blogs and other places in the last month or so. I thought it would make a very fun sketch!

My samples are also now posted in the gallery and linked in the blog.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you have a try with this and have fun! There may be more ways to do this than I have thought of!

WTG, Heidi! I like doing circles since Im an all 'around' crafter.

That said? I've avoided lots of sketch challenges because the hosters include a 'sentiment' as a 'required' element for their sketch.

I am not asking any sketch host to eliminate the sentiment, but just saying that I'm more apt to play if sentiment stamps are not the only possibility for taking a challenge.

I am definitely flexible on the sentiment. No problem there. Thanks for asking.

I usually say to follow the sketch as a starting point. On this one, because I really liked the technique of stamping in a circle and wanted that to be a requirment, I worded this differently.

Cool! This looks tricky but do-able! Thanks Heidi! I actually woke up excited today, cause I knew you planned to have this up today!

Daniel, it's a sketch. Very little is "required", especially the sentiment. I've certainly never "required" one on my sketches. It's simply a suggestion.

Great! I'm glad you two would like to try it.

Christin, of the two methods I tried, the floral stamped on the die cut circle was easier. Once I picked my colors and stamps, I got that my first time stamping - just took a few mintues. The snowflake card I tried several times. However, I was doing some generation stamping and overlapping images on that one, so that might be part of it.

I love the look of circle cards! I am going to have to figure out a way to cut the circle though. Hmmmm.

Angela, if you don't have a circle cutter or dies, you could do the tracing method. Just find a cup or any round object and trace in on your paper and stamp!

I used the tracing method for all of these cards. I was having so much fun I lost track of time and am now running late for a Dr. appt. I'll be back with more info later. Thanks a bunch for this sketch challenge!

Heidi I added a bit of a description and another photo to the gallery post here to show the stamps used for each of the cards. Thanks again for the challenge and for your generous feedback.

I did yet another card for this challenge. It's certainly helping to add to my stash of Christmas cards. The stamps are all really small, the largest (in white) is only 3/4s of an inch long.

Love it, Marshia!

LOL on the 'adding Christmas cards'. Since I don't do Christmas cards, I'm going a different route thanks to you & Heidi.

Heidi for the circle idea & you for the Halloween image swap.

I'm having a ball with this! I started out doing a 'test' on plain white paper to see how the kaleidoscope technique would work with the (primary) stamp I decided on. Was going to do the actual card on colored CS. ROTFL! I like the 'test' so much It's going to be the card. I'm even coloring in circles with my crayons!

Nowhere near done yet & I'm going to mount on CS 'cause I want to add weight to this, but such fun!!!

With the possible addition of one more stamped image, I am pleased to announce that I completed my project for the sketch challenge. Watch your mailbox, Heidi.

As I shared in my last post, I went with my paper 'test' for this, but mounted it on CS to add weight.

And that's were this challenge got even more interesting...

Watch for a new topic coming soon to a forum near you!

Before you look at my entry--which I don't hate--I think I would stick a bit closer to the sketch next time.

I could still do the stuff I did, but not get quite so far from the original idea.

With that said, here's my entry

Thanks so much for participating. Your project is really neat! Are the images stamped on copy paper? It looks like it has a slight sheen. I also wondered what the frame material was?

I think this does resemble the sketch, if you turned it upside down, however, I also see how you could have used the same elements and stuck more closely to it. Really great project!

LOL on the 'cut up basketball' comment, Heidi. That (textured) CS was a a rak from a friend--several years ago. I had 2 or 3 12x12 sheets & am down to just some bits, so I do try to conserve when I'm able.

Yes. I used regular copy paper. The 'sheen' is due to my burnishing the paper after coloring with crayons. I almost always burnish any crayon coloring I do.

This was such a fun sketch challenge! I'm behind on checking out the other entries so I need to do that today.

I think it took me longer to pick out a stamp to use than it did to do my card. I've got a couple more stamps I wanna try out with this challenge.
I kept mine pretty simple and my sentiment smudged a bit but that's okay I will still use it!

Give Thanks

Thanks, Heidi!! I this challenge

Just a few hours late!!

'Just for You' Circle of Roses

Thanks for the fun sketch, Heidi - just what I needed to get going.

Oh, almost forgot to mention - the photo is REALLY bad - it's a scan, which I don't normally do, and it's quite blurry in places, for some reason.
