Since LeighAnn (Pug) is 'due' to be a bit busy, she's asked me to fill-in as the host for this month. We figure with SOF, we'd get the sign-up taken care of now. We tried to keep the theme & requirements simple & make sure there was plenty of time for all of us to make & send our tags.

PLEASE read the Nov tag blog completely before signing-on.

If you have any questions about anything, don't be afraid to ask--especially if this is your first time joining our monthly swap.

Thanks heaps & happy tagging!

ETA: Here's the link to all the threads & blogs including Nov.

Cool, Y'all!

Have to laugh. I think it was Angela whose Sept. tag went for 'giving thanks'. Pug & I had already decided on that as the 'theme' for Nov.

The 'use-a-non-stamp' was pretty much my twist, but Pug liked it. You want to check out Pearl's Oct. tag. She used an actual plastic moon for it. I've found that some of those thin plastic decorations (like cupcake picks) work as stamps--especially with pigment ink.

Welcome aboard Pearl & Sarbear!

For me, the toughest part will be deciding what my 'thanks' will be for. Great friends--like all mine here--is certainly an option. But we all have so much to be thankful for.

It looks like we still have site glitches ongoing. However, I'm going to stick with the original signup deadline. That means the last day to join the swap is Sunday 10/6.

With SOF13 looming, I feel I must be a bit 'firm' since I have hosting duties for our party (and I want to play, too).

If you know of a StamPea who might miss the signup thread, feel free to send them a PM (or where possible) e-mail so they get a chance to join us. No 'pressure', tho'!

Another 'heads up', fellow swappers...

Instead of matching us swappers up in pairs, we going to use the 'round' version for November.

That means you will send your tag to one person, but recieve one from a different person. Got it?

This version avoids problems when we have an odd number of swappers. As stampers, we're all 'odd' (in the nicest way, of course!).

So glad you're able to join us, Marshia!

SarBear. Yeah. That's pretty much the way I do the send/receive list of swappers.

Once I have all the names of those in the swap, I'll post a list on 10/8. That gives me a chance to figure out who > who. OK?

I added a link to our 'resource' thread in my OP.

Pleased with the response so far, but still time to join us. Although our 'making' time coincides with SOF13, that shouldn't be a problem.

Special TY to Jan (Far North)! She sent me a lovely PM & shared that she's going to have to sit this month out. Much as we'll miss her, I respect her need to make choices. But you never know... She might change her mind & join us. No pressure, Jan.

Can you explain he giving thanks part? Are we stamping or including image of what we are thankful for?

Welcome aboard, AJ.

Yeah. LeighAnn & I thot an image (preferably stamped) of what we're thankful for would be an easy thing.

As always, your tag must include at least one stamped image other than a stamped sentiment/words. OK?

Since we have 2 swappers from 'Down Under' (a first!) & for a few other considerations, I've decided to stick with our usual 'between 2' format for swapmates. So here's the list of pairs:

SarBear & Christin

Heidi & Pearl

April & AJ

SWL & Marshia

Looser & Pug*

Please contact your swapmate & swap shipping info asap.

Please check the blog for deadlines & requirements.

* I know Pug did not sign up for Nov., but I figure our 'swap founder' has to be included! LeighAnn has special dispensation when it comes to meeting the sending/in hand deadline. Everyone else? Get 'er done!

Oh goody Daniel!

I meant to add my name to the list yesterday but took a nap instead and forgot about it.

Looks like a good list of swappers.

I'm thankful for all the interest our little monthly swap has got. We're on tag 11 and I don't know about y'all but Ive certainly learned a lot and have received so many wonderful tags along the way.

We've got one more tag to round out 2013 and Heidi has graciously offered to host for me next month.

For 2014, I plan to continue the tags but there will be lots of fun themes and twists to them. I hope you all will continue swapping!

Sorry for the hijack, now back to the November tag chat swap.

Yes, I didn't think of that til later, Sarbear! That's a definite advantage! AND, final advantage... I don't have to go to the PO, as I have regular stamps at home, so I just have to pass a postbox. Gee, this month will be a breeze!

LOL! I figured this was a good chance to give us all a break on travel time & postage. Postage in the US is due for an increase come Jan.

LOL, AJ & April! I was a bit lax in not writing out all the names. Figure we can all figure them out or ask. So good for you 'Rutabaga'.

I'm pretty sure I didn't match anyone who had just swapped with the same swapmate recently.

Please post if you have any problem swapping addys or other. I'm hoping we'll all have mailing addys by end of this week.

And please keep in touch on the thread to let us know how your tag's coming along. Comments are more welcome than just a 'JCI'.

I am glad that the Aussies get a break on postage for once. An international letter from US is only $1.10, but I remember it was $2+ on the Australian stamped enveloped Christin sent me.

I am looking forward to swapping with Pearl. Thank you, Daniel, for setting this up this month!

Daniel, StampWilly's name is April as well and I wasn't 100% sure if CaribbeanGirl was an April, but I thought she was. Ok, so that's cleared up! April, I'll be sending you my addy shortly.

True that Christin.

Heidi: It cost us $2.60 to send a normal sized card. If its bulky which i sent one the other day it can cost anywhere from $6.20 - $13 as its classed as a small parcel. Sucks big time.

Yeah, I usually try to limit the weight of any RAKs I send so that they get in for $2.60 - I find clear stamps great for this! Wow, I can't believe your international mail is only $1.10, Heidi. That's not bad at all!

Looks like most of us have connected with our swapmates. Good!

Now! With all the great challenges for SOF13, some of us may want to incorporate them in our Nov. tag. Since that would mean sharing them before our swapmate receives them, I leave it up to each of the swapmate pairs to discuss this possibility--via PM/email--with one another before acting on the idea.

That said? I would have no problem if Pug were to use her tag as an SOF challenge entry. I know that having it in my hand is very different than just seeing a picture of it in the gallery. KWIM?

Just remember! Your tag has to meet the requirements of our swap.
