I'm so happy for all of you that have nice hefty stashes of Christmas cards ready to go! And if that's not you? It's not too late to get a jump start on Christmas. Christmas cards all done? Why not make a few gift tags? We'd like to see those too!

Honor roll :

Stamp Willy - done! WooHoo!
Daria (djc) - 45 last I heard! Wow!

I'm sure there are more of you that belong on the honor roll. Please add 'em up and report in!

Ok, on with October! As you should all know, Stamptoberfest is coming quick! October 12-21 to be exact. Hurray! There will be plenty of challenges and inspiration to go around, so pick one and make it in a Christmas theme.

Can't wait to get started? Take one of those Christmas cards you've pinned or bookmarked and use it!

Let the games begin! Thanks so much for playing!

Oh, and don't forget, Saturday, October 5th is World Cardmaking Day. The perfect time to sneak another Christmas card in.

Cindi! 'Slug' that you are (her words, folks), I am loving your ongoing challenge. Especially your monthly prompts!

Far as hooking up Christmas--cards, tags, etc.--with SOF13? Terrific idea!

You da best, pal!

Thanks for another good prompt. Looking forward to Stamptoberfest! I have made 49 cards so far! That is more than enough for this year. Anyway, I will have some left over for next year, or some to send if I need one in a pinch! I plan on doing at least one Christmas card this month.

Love the prompt! I made a bunch of Christmas cards during World-Wide Stamping Week. Hopefully, I'll do the same thing for Stamptoberfest.

Thanks, Cindi.

I finally participated in my own challenge again! I feel like less of a "slug" haha! and even better ... I counted and I now have 45 cards. (I made 20 at a SU event, but hey, it's 20 cards, done!) I am far from done so I hope to make more during Stamptoberfest too.

This time I played with the chalkboard technique.

Merry Little Christmas

This design was inspired by a card I pinned on Pinterest. It was made by Shannon White. You can see it on her blog, here.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying these challenges

Your card is wonderful Cindi
I see it as a nice canvas for your home as well

I have started colouring a few images for Christmas cards for this year.
I am keeping them very similar and simple.
I usually make everyone a different card, and then get stressed on who should get which card.
So last year and the this year, I am keeping it stress-free for me....well okay...less stressful

I colour the images different colours to mix it up, so I don't get bored colouring the same image with the same colours.
This year my theme is winter homes and buildings. So the images are different, but easily coloured.
And if I run out of time...as I am the worlds best procrastinator...I will colour copy the images I had coloured already and adhere them to the cards....I did this last year.

My SIL is crazy. I think she has her Christmas cards done for the next 3 years, lol.

Thanks Daria and Tracy!

Tracy, I had to laugh at the color copying! The first time I heard of this I thought, "hey, that's cheating!" haha! But artists do it all the time. They paint or draw one card front and have it printed or copied on all of their cards. Copy on!

Link up your cards when you get then finished!

Here are four more cards that I made with backgrounds from Jan's challenge. My Cards

I wish you could see the sparkly snowflakes. I like the white ones, but I love the one with Judikins Diamond Sparkle best of all. I'll be using that one again.

I posted two more cards.

I'm so grateful to Stamptoberfest; it got me back into the craft room. I'm up to eight Christmas cards this month.

Thank you for linking up your cards! Stamptoberfest is great for getting the mojo going.

Daria, you really went to town with the backgrounds! They make great cards with very little else needed.

April,
I really love that cardinal and the way you colored him. I bet that background is really gorgeous in real life.

Nora,
I'm glad you linked that cute Christmas card here! Be careful, Daria might try to take that nice embossing folder back!

Yes, there are many beautiful backgrounds and completed cards after SOF! I'd like to say thanks again for playing in my challenge!

I made a couple Christmas cards during SOF too...they are my first for this season. I will be watching for more of your groups inspiration and motivation during the next few weeks!

I have five more Christmas cards! Nora and I went to two classes yesterday. Els Van de Burgt of Elizabeth Craft Designs was in our area, and her classes were terrific.

The classes were from 11am to 1:30pm and 2pm to 4:30pm. I had to work through my half hour lunch time to finish up the first set of cards, and I didn't finish the last card until about 4:45pm. There were only three cards in each class, but there were so many steps and so much to learn. We had a good time, and I love the cards we made.

You have to visualize these as with lots of sparkle. The microfine glitter is wonderful.

Class 1

Class 2

Five of the six cards we made were Christmas cards so that really upped my numbers for October and makes up for September. I'm now up to 58 cards.

We're going to another marathon class next month, and all we'll be making is Christmas cards. I think that will just about do it for me.

Now I still need to make all the inserts and some envelopes for cards that won't fit into the A2, A6, and A7 envelopes that I have.

I don't think you'll hear from me again this month. lol

I made quite a few Christmas cards for SOF. Here they are:

Background Wow 1

A,B,C Sample

Background Wow 2

Chalkboard

Nativity

Holly Stencil

Poinsettia Stencil

Three Cheers

In addition to these, I made 265 Christmas/ winter themed cards this month. 225 of them were sent off to OWH. I'm tired. And I'm not making any more Christmas cards this year.

Sarah, I left a comment below your post a long time ago, but it didn't take. You are definitely the Queen of Christimas Cards! I'm impressed.

Cindi, I keep looking for November's post. I made eight cards at a Holiday Marathon Class, but I won't be posting them until the store, Stamp on Over, is no longer offering this particular class. I think that's somewhere around the 13th of this month.

My real goal for this month is to make inserts for all the cards I made and envelopes for the ones that need them.

Anyone else still working on their Christmas cards?

I'm sorry guys and gals , I just got November's thread posted today!

Christmas All Year! November

I promise I will take a break from looking at paint colors on Pinterest and check out the October cards I may have missed. Thanks so much for linking them up. I know a lot of you used SOF13 to get some cards made. Perfect!

Wow Sarah!! Way to go for OWH! I can understand why you are done making Christmas cards. Check out November's prompt anyway, there are a few suggestions you still may be able to use.

Daria, I can't wait to see what you made in your Holiday Marathon class!
I'm off now to see what you did with microfine glitter!

Thanks everyone for playing along and linking your cards here for all of us to see and be inspired!
