Hi Everyone! It is time to prepare for BINGO if you are playing along at Stamptoberfest. Since Halloween is coming up, I know we will be munching on some candy while we do our projects. So I have compiled a list of Halloween Candy below. Please choose 10 from the list and pmail me with your list so that I can use it as a cross reference when there is a winner. You have until Friday, Oct. 11th at 10pm eastern time to pmail me your 10 words from this list. We will start BINGO around 6pm on Sat. the 12th. I will put up a post later this week explaining how all this works! I will be giving an RAK for the winner. We always have a great time, so I hope to see many sign up!

April, I Pea-mailed my list to you. I had to look up some of the candies that I'd never heard of before. Much to my surprise, they've been around longer than I have!

Thank you for offering this game again. It was an instant hit the first time around, and now we look forward to playing it during our events.

My list is on its way! There are some oldies but goodies on this list, as well as the newfangled stuff. I must know my candy, probably because I think I have tasted all of them!

Thanks for hosting this fun game again!

Candy is dandy, but 'likker' is quicker...

I chose my 10 & will PM them. Already working on a winning strategy, Willy!

Willy got my 'winning' words. Reason I know is I got 3 PMs from her!

While we wait for others to join us for the up-coming game, I'm glad to see I already have worthy opponents in Anne & Daria.

For those who haven't played 'StampWilly Bingo' previously? We start 'trash talk' from the gitgo!

Hope you guys are feeling lucky this time. Too bad, tho' 'cause I'm gonna make a comeback as the champ.

I would love to try this, but my son and I are doing a 5K for charity that day and I'll probably be too tired to trash talk with you Daniel!

I feel like I should be offended by this?

You may want to still sign up. Stampwilly will post about 3 words per day, and each of us keeps a tally one which of our words are posted. When all 10 of yours are posted, you yell BINGO! It usually takes several days, but the first to post Bingo wins! It is really fun.

AJ!!!! Sent you an e-mail, but wanted to post to Willy's thread.

Bingo is not a one-day game & 'trash talk' is not a requirement.

Please join us by sending April (StampWilly) 10 candies from her list.

I will be so unhappy if my post prevents you from enjoying the joy & scars this game has provided for us over the past several years.

Yes, this is an all week game, so sign up and join the fun!

LOL, Willy! Some of my fave previous 'smack talk' took place as players cooled their heels waiting for you to post the day's words...

BTW? Much as I love your (candy) words? I am shocked that walnettos, baby ruth & bonomo turkish taffy didn't make the list.

Oh, my gosh! Boston Baked Beans. It's been forever and ever since I had those. I remember putting my nickel into the machine, and out they'd come. I've tried buying them in a bag at the store, but they just don't taste the same as the ones in the candy machine. Do you know a good brand? Not that I need candy . . .

Daria, I agree not as good as when I was a kid. I bet cause they use corn syrup and not sugar anymore. They've changed many of the good old recipes to produce cheaper. Doesn't seem to stop my sweet tooth though!!!

Darn, this Bingo is going to be hard for me cause lollies are my definite weakness! I'll be drooling every day. As a bonus, when the day's words are called it will be early morning for me, so I probably won't feel like them then!

April, I just peamailed my words to you, but the last one ended up AFTER my sign-off. there's 10 altogether, though.

Well it looks like the digestive juices have kicked in already! LOL! I remember what they called burnt peanuts I think. These are peanuts with a reddish, bumpy candy shell on the outside. I loved those things. I think they have them at the Mast General Store here, but I try not to eat candy anymore. Guess I will see if they have them the next time I go there.

We have 10 people signed up already! Whooo-hoooo! Can't wait to get the game rollin'!

Willy, you are right, the bumpy ones are burnt peanuts and I loved those too..not sure if my teeth could handle them now.

The Boston Baked Beans are the smooth ones, but very similar.

Pumpkin seeds? When I was a mere boy living in 'Bedrock', I could buy a small box for 2 cents. Sen-sens were 1 cent for a (small) scoop. Red Hot Dollars were 2 for a penny.

Walnettos are/were a nut-filled candy. Arte Johnson used to ask Ruth Buzzy if she wanted to see his walnetto on Laugh In. Yeah. I'm old!

Burnt peanuts are an old fave of mom's.

Remember those banana-flavored marshmallow peanuts? Yuk!

Hoping Willy won't mind, but I'd like to try linking the last 2 SOF Bingo Games. Not only might they help new players get an idea of how we play, but it's such a treat to read all the posts--several from StamPeas no longer with us.

Still time to send your list to April (StampWilly)

Burnt Peanuts --Yeah!

Banana-Flavored Marshmallow Peanuts--I remember them, but I can live without them.

Indian Brand Pumpkin Seeds -- I don't remember those.

I don't remember Sen-Sens or Walnettos either.

All this talk of candy has me longing for a bag of See's Milk Chocolate Peanuts.

Thanks for linking the past several Bingo game threads, Daniel. I am putting up a post about it today and that is where we will start. I have never heard of Walnettos, Sen Sens, or Red Hot Dollars.

This isn't candy, but does anyone remember Teaberry gum? Loved it. What was that real hot cinnamon candy that looked like small M&Ms and they were chewy? I loved them too!

Anyway, please look at my new post for the BINGO how -tos.

Teaberry gum! Oh yeah! I remember doing the 'teaberry shuffle'! And those little cinnamon things? We called them 'red hots'.

Not seeing the new thread yet, but my puter is wonky today. Think the site is, too.

I have Teaberry gum in my purse right now believe it or not! My son and I were at cracker barrel and they sell that and the clove gum. A few other old timey treats like that. So we bought some so he could try a few. He wasn't a fan, and I don't chew gum often...so it'll probably be in there until it's petrified!

How about the candy dots on long paper strips?? I ate a lot of those as a kid!

The other gum is called Beamen/Beaman(?). Sooooo good! Yikes, I do remember Sen Sens. I guess I just aged myself! I lived close to a dime store growing up that had every kind of penny candy there was.
