This is another of my 'simple' challenges.

Please read the Challenge Blog.

Here's My Scarecrow. I went 'Halloweenish'. Yours doesn't need to.

Since several have mentioned my previous VooDoo Doll Challenge, I'm going to risk including a link to it. I say 'risk' because that challenge's requirements were different tham BYO Scarecrow's. That said, most players built their 'VDD' from several stamps--parts.

I don't know that I have any stamps that could do something like this...however, now that I'm seeing what this SOF13 is all about, there's no doubt I have to break out my huge stash and see what I have. I just might play along

Love this! I didn't get to do the Voodoo doll so I am happy to have a second chance (kindof) for this one. I really wish I had a stamp of a corn cob for this.

Thanks for hosting!

That's the spirit, AJ! Scarecrows IRL are built from whatever is available! Long as you use a minimum of 3 stamps to build yours, you're fine.

This is a chance to 'build' our ability to go beyond the 'usual'--even if my sample didn't. KWIM?

Fun challenge! Question, as long as the minimum 3 stamps are used in creating the scarecrow, can other materials be used on the scarecrow itself, too (stickers, twine, etc)?

Absolutely, Michele. Long as you use 3 stamps when you build your scarecrow--I used parts of 3 images to build mine--I'm cool with having other stuff employed.

That said? I'm hoping that entries will use stamps as a major part of their scarecrows & not just as accents. But feel free to WOW me with your talent!

This is so cool! I don't think I've ever mixed stamps like this, so this is really going to be a challenge! Kind of scary!!!

Thanks for all the kind praise for my sample. I'm so pleased that you like my challenge & hope you'll be able to take it.

I added a link to the Voodoo Doll Challenge in my OP. While 'Scarecrow' is different than VDD, the idea of 'building' with stamps (parts of) was used by most players. Click on the VDD's blog link to see them.

Fun challenge, Daniel! I hope I can get time to play! I've got some ideas brewin already. I won't make it as scary as the voodoo doll I made!

Btw, your scarecrow reminds me of this man that used to shop at the grocery store I worked at in high school. He was truly a character and always made his presence known. I'm not sure if its the crazy legs or the pants but something made me think of him!

Okay, I goofed. I checked the 2 challenge boxes my card went into, but I guess it only goes to one blog. So how do I get my entry into this blog now? Thanks.

here is my entry for this challenge.

Here is my scary, scary Scarecrow!

This was harder than I thought it would be - to get it looking even vaguely like an actual scarecrow. I've included the stamps I used, as a separate picture.

Thanks for the challenge, Daniel!

Phew! My scarecrow is built! It's a little gender confused
I knew I wanted to use Punkin girl's head right away but when I went searching for body parts I kind of forgot she was a girl and dressed her as a man . So this guy has some cute eyelashes!

I got him/her all dressed up and ready to go when I re-read the challenge rules and found I needed 3 stamps. Placing a coffee cup in it's hands was fun ... but I felt like it was a little bit of a cheat, so I gave it some shoes!

Thanks for the challenge Daniel! I'm glad I did it, and yes, I missed the voodoo so I'm glad I tackled this one!

You can see my scarecrow here.

LOL, Cindi! Only you would work from a nude model ala 'life class' art!

Your SC is awesome. Guess he/she needed a break from pole dancing!

Here you go, Daniel! This project was really a challenge for me. I'm not really in love with the end result, but it was the best of several tries. It took a whole evening and lots of post-it notes, but here she is!

SOF13 BYO Scarecrow

It doesn't look like she scared the crows much, but she terrified me!

I built my scarecrow. I think the crow head worked better in my head than on my scarecrow, but I got it done. I may tweak it later.

ROTFLMAO, Sarah! Your 'zombie' scarecrow is awesome! Yeah. I understand what you mean about the crow head, but it works as presented. Love the the fact that the other scarecrow actually looks scared. Too funny!

Thanks to everyone for playing--and all are just wonderful!
