Wellll, I'm glad at least a few cards got made last month!
I don't know what happened to March, but here we are in April. Never too late/or too early to make a few Christmas cards. Let's see if we can top last month, huh?!

This month's prompt, should you choose to use it ... how about some embossing? Your pick, dry embossing or heat embossing.

I'm hoping to make 5 cards this month. One can always hope right?

Oh, thank you for the prompt. I didn't do that well last month either, but I did get some done because of this challenge. I will try to do 5 again. Try try again...

Thank you Cindi!

Will get started soon. I have some wonderful images for dry embossing and will get my powders and duster thingy into my kit I am busy creating for this months mood board and Xmas challenges.

I am envisioning a angel, embossed with holographic or silver powders...we shall see what I manage to come up with!

Uh-oh. I missed March. I plan to use two of the Faux Patina backgrounds I made with Nora for Christmas cards, but I just keep staring at them. They are very strong pieces, and I don't know what to do with them. I took out some Christmas stamps and just stamped them to try them out, and now I have those sitting on the table along side the backgrounds. Sigh.

I hope to get back on track this month.

Daria, I can relate! I made some stencil/spray backgrounds in March, but that is as far as I got!

Posting the Christmas All Year thread this month got me motivated to stamp something. Figured I'd better get going while the month is young, and before I forget! I can take no credit for the design it is copied straight from Pinterest, but at least I finally made something I pinned!

Come to Bethlehem

I tried using Distress Ink because I have some matching distress cardstock, but I could not get a good solid image on the solid silhouette style stamp I chose. Ranger Archival ink covers much better.

The link for the pinterest card I copied is in my gallery post.

I hope you get a chance to stamp some Christmas cards this month!

Iring - left you some praise in the gallery. This card is beautiful! Hopefully you inspire me to get a start on my religious themed Christmas cards.
When I read this months theme, I thought of an angel stamp I have...hopefully I get it set to paper today!

Cindi, thanks for starting us off with your beautiful card. I'm right behind you. Yeah! I posted two cards, and they even followed the prompt this time; they have both dry and heat embossing.

Faux Patina Christmas Cards

I hope these are first of a few more this month, but now the pressure is off. Hmmm. Maybe I should think of these as being for March. I made the faux patina pieces in March . . . Pressure building . . .

No day like Good Friday to make Christmas cards! Haha! Hey, when the mood hits, make 'em!

Daria, thanks for sharing your cards and all the cool backgrounds you made. I bet your glittered trees are spectacular in person!

I doubt I will get any Christmas cards made today. I have 2 Easter cards to finish up and get in the mail quick. Staying local, so they should be ok.

I should be housecleaning ... but the patina video is calling my name ...

Liking the theme of this thread, what a great idea to make a few cards through the year and have a nice variety ready for the holiday season.

I am going to be really late at adding my cards this month. I am off to my Mum's on Easter Monday for a week. She is back in hospital and needs someone to look after her once released. I think Iwill be a week up there and a week at home for a while.

Not looking forward to it as my back hates her bed and I sleep in the recliner when i am there. It dislikes her recliner but not as much as the bed...lol I am slowly getting my back sorted from the last escapade so will have to be very careful with the long drive up there too. Takes about 4 1/2 hours and currently the road is down to one lane as a semi flipped on the snowy roads in the mountain passes. Uggggh.

I will try to stamp and pack some Xmas images to colour but can't make them up and post them till I get home.

Oh Mo! Be careful, of your back, and on the drive! I would say take plenty of driving breaks, but who wants to get out of the car if it's cold and snowy? All the best to you and your mom!

StampWilly. These are a fab trio. Think my fave is the first as I love religious cards but didn't have any proper stamps. Now I do but need plan designs! The embossed tree is beautiful too on the second card. Just an all round great trio

Finally got a Christmas card finished. It is not embossed...sorry I forgot! I am heading to bed early tonight as I have made this while doing laundry from the trip and still have loads to do. DH was opening up the RV ad cleaning the lot. We get a lot of leaves over Winter and they need cleaned up and the patio scrubbed!!! Hence lots of workclothes type laundry...

Will make an embossed one before the end of the month.

Thank you for your nice comments! Daria, marker thumping has got to be one of my favorite techniques! It may have been one of the first stamping videos I watched too.

I was able to finish another card with the prompt today, but it will need to wait till daylight for photographing.

I made three more cards for a total of 4. I decided to make the snowflake card to use up a scrap of the navy cardstock. Since I was able to stamp two snowflakes on the scrap, I made two of that card. It was fun to use the supplies that were already out on my workspace.

Sorry I am so late with a Christmas card for the embossing brief. It is not stamped...not sure if that is OK...but it is embossed! First time I used this folder and I am really happy with the results!

No problem Mo, late is something I'm very familiar with! Haha! And hey, how can you be late? You are way ahead of Christmas! For this challenge, I don't mind if there is no stamping. The point is to get some Christmas cards made before the mad rush in December.

I really like your embossing. Clever idea to use the black/green coordinations cs. I have tried using a similar embossing folder and inking it, but I couldn't get a clean impression. Looks much better in color core cardstock!

Sorry I haven't posted a thread for May yet. I was away all weekend. I will post one tonight. I have stamp camp to go to this afternoon. WooHoo!
