Let's get warmed up for WSW14 by doing a Stamp n Dash Challenge!

Here is the blog with all the details and a brief tutorial: https://www.twopeasinabucket.com/userblogpost.asp?id=74996

Here is my sample card: https://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/540243-howdyheidi/1999925-butterfly-and-background-stamp-n-dash/

This challenge uses a technique that many not be new to you: Rock n Roll stamping. However, I think it makes a good SnD because it is really quick and it can really add some extra punch to your stamped project.

Any questions? I hope you will have an hour or so to get stamping and try this technique!

What a terrific Stamp N Dash Heidi especially before WSW14! I always find it helpful to think of some quick and easy stamping techniques before our events. Thanks for this fun challenge!

Great, ladies! You do have through Monday midnight to upload your project. And it can be simple, I know I got a little carried away with the stamping on my project. Remember you don't have to make a card, you can make an ATC or bookmark or tag too (you can always make something like that into a card later.)

What a fun challenge! Unfortunately I didn't select the easiest stamp for this technique but it is one of my favorites and I wanted to use it for my sister's birthday. If I wanted to select a different flower I would have looked for one with a more rounded outer edge and where all the petals changed layers at the same distance from the edge. Oh well, I went with what I liked and it was fine for how I planned on using them. Hope folks like the multi-medium look!

Here is my card.

Thanks again Heidi!

Anyone have time to try this over the weekend? I hope so! You have through Monday midnight TwoPeas time!

Rock n Roll stamping is a fun and fairly easy technique and I hope you will give it a try!

And to give props to lickyan, any level stamper is always welcome in Stamp n Dash and any of my challenges.

I tried all weekend to do this challenge and finally tonight I got one done. The flower and leaves are done using this rock and roll technique. I hope you can see it in the scanned card.

Thank you howdyheidi for hosting this challenge.

Looks great Sadie...left you some praise in the gallery!

Heidi, I will try your Roak and Roll...it looks fabulous and I so wanted to get to the craft room today...but it was a busy day with appointments and I have missed your deadline.

This is one I will have to submit late...but try it I will as I am in awe of the way the stamped images turn out!

Just in time! I stamped several images yesterday, but then couldn't decide how to use them on a card. So I ended up with a simple design, sometimes that's just the way to go.

cupcakes

Thanks for the challenge, and thanks to the other players for their entries, I always love seeing the different ways we do the same challenge

I am thrilled this morning to come here and see that there were two more entries to the Stamp n Dash challenge. Ladies, you created lovely cards using this technique. Thank you for your participation!

I really also loved the squares Sadie added to her background.

And Michele, I think you could use some wild color combinations with that cupcake stamp and still have a great result.

Maureen, yes, please do go ahead and link your project here when you are ready. It will be fun to see what you come up with.

I think Jan has something planned for the next SnD, however, since we have the fest and the holiday coming up, it may not be for at least several weeks. Please comment on the master thread if you have any suggestions or comments about what you want to see later on and when.

I can't believe I forgot to upload my card yesterday - I am sorry I am late. I did enjoy the challenge and found that it was easier for me to you cat eye's stamps for the outer edge than a ink pad. I will be back in a few to attach my card.

My card will not appear on the blog - was late.

I think this will become one of my favorite techniques - after I figured it out and used cat's eye stamps.

Here is my card:

Heidi. Congrats on another terrific SND. Like Christin, I played a bit with the technique--while working on a piece for KIAE--but my additional play really obscurred the look.

That said? I hope to see ways to play with this technique during WSW14 & will acknowledge your SND as a resource, pal!
