Hi!
I was invited to a "shoebox swap" where I am to bring an example card and 11 kits for the other 11 invitees to make the card . ..then we all make each other's cards and take home 12 finished cards! (including our own example)

I am just not horribly creative and the card needs to be fairly simple but nice, yanno?

Anyone have any ideas or can you link me to your fab card in the gallery please?

And if you could post instructions, that would be even better. And yes, I will tell everyone I had nothing to do with creating it, and tell everyone who did.

thanks!!!

Very quick & easy card

That is one of the easiest ones I have in my gallery. Don't think that I need to explain how to do any of it, like I said, very easy.

You're welcome, Barbara. I think we'll be seeing more cards like that one. It looks so good!

Balboa Girl, thank you for starting this thread. I've checked out all the links so far, and the cards are really cool. I hope more people post. I think I'll start a new section in my BOS for these.

Here's another link to a terrific, but easy card. In fact check out all of this Pea's cards. They aren't all easy, but she explains exactly what she did.

This is a neat thread idea. If you come across a card you think qualifies, please post a link. This could be a terrific resource for beginning stampers.

Most of my cards are pretty simple, but this is one of the simplest I'v ever made. Brayered "Big & Juicy" rainbow ink on glossy cardstock and stamped image in black. Mounted on black mat, then onto blue card.

Forest at Sunset

Here is another one that is quite simple - using a sponge, place 2 or 3 drops of dye ink and "swipe" color across glossy cardstock. Repeat with one or two more colors. Stamped image in black, mounted onto black mat, then green card.

I've been linked!! I'm so flattered.

The bluebonnet card truly was quick and easy. Tying the bow was the only time-consuming part. One thing I should probably note is that the card base is the lilac cardstock, and the vanilla cardstock is attached to the inside of the torn front of the lilac card. (I hope that makes sense)

The Christmas lights card was easy, but took a lot more time because after cutting the white cardstock to the right size I had to stamp the string for the lights, then stamp the light bulbs in the different colors, then stamp the sentiment, then cover the light bulbs with crystal lacquer and let them dry overnight, and then mount the white cardstock on the green and red. Well, I guess if you were only making a few it wouldn't be bad, but 60 of them took me a while.

oh, thanks for linking on of my cards!! It was really easy to do that curve, or I got lucky! I cut one of the PP paper and one of the pink to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I laid them on top of each other and just freehanded cut the curve thru both papers. And then, just fit together the PP paper and the CS. You can get two cards this way. Hope this made sense!!

I just made 2 cards that are quick and easy. All you do is cut double sided paper to 8 1/2 by 5 1/4, fold in half, cut off 3/4 inch at one end, stamp the sentiment on the inside, and embellish as you want. If that doesn't make sense, let me know.

So many great and simple cards here!

Here's one of my recent ones that I think counts; the star punch in the center is popdotted, and the sentiment can also easily be a little stamped sentiment. These kind of cards are great for guys!
simple thank you
