(A) read the calls and make something specifically based on the call
or
(B )read the calls and go through your finished projects to see what fits?

This is interesting. I have to admit that I used to use the calls as an excuse to try a new technique or just to scrap photos that were in the pile waiting to be added to our albums. I loved the extra incentive of a publication possibility! |

I definitely do both, but I usually find that if I do "A" I have a better chance of publication! And I'm happier with what I created, whether or not it gets picked up. | |

I pretty much always just look for something I've already made that fits!
BUT...if I'm sitting down to make a new layout for an assignment or something where I'm free to do whatever, I'll check out the calls and see if anything fits! |

I do both. Especially since some calls ask for "never before seen". Most of what I've made has been seen.
Wish I had more time to create new, though. |
