Thank you so much!! I ordered my PSE5 on Friday! I can’t wait for it to get here. I hope I can learn how to use it. It’s my first PSE ! |

Wonderful idea! I just got my PSE5 last week and am just starting to get around on it - mostly because I keep referring back to this message board for tips! We get our cable internet installed on Mon. and then I am in business! Yay! |

Text in the shape of a circle, or a wavy line, or...?
and it's brother:
Text inside a shape
I've checked out the first one before. Does anyone know if that ONLY works in Photoshop and not Elements? That was my impression but I'm a newbie. I'd love to learn it. Thanks! |

yes, you are right, those do only work in photoshop...sorry. But I did come across a cool tutorial for making circle text for PSE...off to find it.
**I'm a weeny...I couldn't find it in 5 secs, so I gave up.
Do this. Open PSE, open your workspace to 4x4. Type your text so it goes across the page, from slightly inside one side, to slightly inside the other side. (Play with fonts, font sizes to make this happen. Horizontally flip this layer so that it is upside down. Go to filters>polar coordinates. TADA! there is your circle. Play with it until you get it just right. Peamail me if I said something not exactly right...which may be the case because I don't have the program open, and I've only had one cup of coffee today. |

What's the best way of saving all that info? Think I could just save this to my favorites and then it will always be there or will it eventually fall off the end of the earth??? Or should we click on each item and save them?
Also, Q. about moving on to PSE5... I have PSE3... can it be upgraded to 5? I don't have 4. LOL

Nanaclaire,
You should be able to either "Watch" this thread (click the magnifying glass next to the title) (which will keep it under your "home" area here) or add it to your Book of Scraps (click the green plus sign).
You can access watched item via 'My home" when logged into 2Peas.
You can access your Book of Scraps (BOS) via "My Book of Scraps."

I am a newbie. I was trying to open the "Getting started with PSE" thread but I am getting an error message saying I do not have access to that thread. Does anyone know why I would get that message? Am I doing something wrong? TIA |

Hi sweetboysofmine,
I'd say it was one of the threads that was lost when the site was down last week...so sorry!
Hopefully someone knows what the original thread was and they can repost it...
anyone? |

Wonderful info...thanks for everyone posting this!
I've toyed around with the idea of going digital for the last couple months. I'm sure I'll still do "paper scrapbooking" but I just have so much stuff and I stay so busy.
It would really help me to catch up, especially since I'm on my computer all the time anyway
Thanks again...I'm a "newbie" to this board but hoping to start learning more about this!

Writermom1 - Just wanted to let you know that I tried to open the links that you have and they all gave me an error message. I would love to read those threads about organizing digipapers so if you could look into fixing your links I would greatly appreciate it
THANKS! |

Hi Katty and thanks for asking about me!
Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the links. I think those threads probably were lost in the horrific Board Burp of early '07
I added some replacements and hope that new "newbie" threads will be added as we find them.

This thread rocks! I just installed PSE5 and have been dabbling a little, but my 'puter is running excruciatingly slow. I've ordered more RAM that my hubby will have to install sometime this week, then maybe I can start having some fun. I did manage to complete one layout, but it took my hours! Keep posting hints, I'm saving them for future reference! Thanks! |

Here's a link to all kinds of useful information...like how to get your avator working, post pictures, adding a signature line. I have this in BOS from the NSBR board. It has come in very handy.
