Pixlromatic is a fun editing app. Camera+ has a filmstrip frame and also has a one touch edit function called clarity that is awesome especially for low light photos.

Thanks, Danica! I'm curious about photo apps, too, so I'm watching this thread as well.

So on that other board with all the "pins" on it, I saw a link for a 80 page pdf about editing photos.

Here is the pdf download

Editing app book

Hope this can help someone. It looks good.

I use Instagram to make my photos look like old photos (which you already mentioned) and there's actually a PS app for your phone for basic photo editing. I love taking photos with my iPhone as it's always in my pocket when I'm out and about. Much easier than lugging my DSLR everywhere!

agree with the Camera+ app. Also, I just downloaded picfx today too at the suggestion of Jack Hollingsworth, a fabulous iphoneographer.

If anyone is interested, a website called Creative Live is hosting a 2 day workshop on iPhoneography. Day 1 was today, January 5th. The course is free when you watch the LIVE webinar (a free rewatch runs all night long) and then it's $79 to buy the course after it's over. I learned a lot today, but he's gonna cover more cool stuff tomorrow.

Anyway, just if you're interested. It's at www.creativelive.com/live

Use this "photo negative editor" http://en.softonic.com/s/photo-negative-editor
and convert and invert your image into a black or old era images or vice verse.

I like PhotoToaster. I've only used it on my iPad (but just got an iPhone this week!), but it is a lot of fun. I do have the $1.99 version so I don't know how much is in the free version (I think the free one is called PhotoToaster Junior.) I've had a lot of fun with this one!

I think Photobooth is fun too. Makes a photobooth filmstrip.

Photo Booth is cool! I need to play with that app more.

I also like Vintique, which has some fun filters and editing tools.

Phonto is cool because you can add text and ding bats to your phone pictures.

One of my favorites to use is Diptic, because you can create mini photo collages with fun frames. I use it all the time. Vintique, Phonto and Diptic can also be used in conjunction with Instagram, which makes it easy to uplad them to your Instagram feed.

So many cool apps, so little time...

I absolutely adore Hipstamatic. I was an avid Instagram user but when they were bought by Facebook and changed their privacy policy, I called it quits.

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to add my 2 cents... I also love Vintique & would recommend it! Another app I recommend is AppsFire (may be 2 words). This app shows you all of the paid apps that are currently free. I've found tons of photo apps this way! The great thing is, you can try an app & if you don't like it, delete it & you're not out anything. Plus, if you ever decide you want to give it another shot, it's stored in the cloud, so you could get it back, again, without paying anything for it! HTH!

I haven't tried a ton of apps, but I really love PicTapGo. It's $1.99 from the people who made RadLab for photoshop, and it's like a mini version of RadLab on your phone. You can post straight to Instagram and stuff, but I like that you can choose for it to keep the rectangular shape instead of cropping.
