For those of you that scrapped traditionally before trying digital out, you probably understand the hoarder mindset: saving a favorite paper or embellishment for *just* the right layout.

But what about digital? It's ridiculous, right? To save things for a specific layout? I mean, one of the BEST things about digital is being able to use something to your heart's content, only paying or downloading once! And yet, I still do it sometimes I can't explain it.

I will also admit to completely overusing elements as well though

I can't be the only one willing to admit it so fess up! (and make me feel better )

I bought a lot of paper and different things ahead when I was a paper scrapper. Not necessarily because I was saving it for something special but because I liked it or it was a good price for a package of paper. I liked having things on hand at home vs. having to go to the store just to get what I needed for a particular LO too.

Digitally--not so much. I've accumulated a lot of kits in the last year being on a creative team but I never did before that. It is hard to figure out what to keep--I do have a hard time cleaning out my files for things that I will probably never use again--but how would I know for sure???

No I don't purposely NOT use a digital item, as I might in "saving a specific paper scrapping embellishment or paper for a specific project" but I am guilty of having stuff in files that I probably will never use as they aren't my style. I just have a hard time breaking up a kit and taking stuff out of it so i keep it all together. It's like throwing away the gravy boat from your fine china because you never make gravy...I just can't do it. It's part of the set. LOL

I don't try to be a hoarder, but I might have that tendency a little bit. What usually happens is I forget about a kit I bought and haven't used it in awhile.

This is one reason I'm glad I have Picasa and remember occasionally to tag things in there. I found a really fun girly/dress up kit by searching PIcasa for girly items the other day. I have used that kit a lot more than I have in the past.

Digital art journaling has also really gotten me into using more of the stuff in my stash. Those pages have a different feel than my scrapbook pages, so I've been using more vintage or fantasy type embellishments/papers with those.

I do have some freebies I haven't used a lot, so I'm thinking now if I'm going to get rid of them. A lot of them do have at least one or two items I've used on my pages, so I'm not sure I'm ready to part with them yet.

I do love reusing things, and have some favorites for sure, but going on a hunt for something in my stash is fun, too. But honestly? Have I used everything in my stash yet...umm, no...

Yes, I'm a hoarder. I know exactly which kits I'm hoarding though, so as soon as somebody does something cute enough to take a picture of that will be perfect for those kits I will be so ready!

Not at all. But I am definitely a digital PHOTO hoarder! I have 2 iPhoto libraries, and I have 35,000 photos on my bigger one. I just can't seem to cull the number down substantially... I have lots of rotten & duplicate photos that I just can't get rid of!
I think I need to get busy & get rid of at least half of those photos!

oh yes i used to be...not so much now! i was also one who, when i started, downloaded pretty much every freebie i could find. then i realized that wasn't the way to go...

i did just clean out some of my digi supplies and am 30g lighter. that doesn't even make much of a dent, though, sadly. so maybe i still am a hoarder! lol.

I'm so glad I'm not alone

And Stef, I seriously need to purge some (er, aa lot ) of not-so-fabulous photos myself!

Sadly, that's me to a tee! Not so much saving a kit but just having too many to use!! I did ditch all my freebies which helped but I still have a massive amount of supplies that I can't hope to use. My paper habits carried over to digi!

Hehehe! Guilty! But I have an excuse....I just started digi scrapping - don't know when the insanity ends, but so glad that my unfinished LOs don't clutter my scrap table nowadays.

I still have a LOT of kits, but I've started deleting the ones that I've never used and can't think of anything I'd use them for.

I havent held back any kits waiting for the perfect photo but I've definitely got kits that I bought because they were perfect for something but I didn't know what and now I've forgotten I have them!!!

photos I am brutal for deleting. I only keep the best. I recently switched to a new computer so when I moved my stuff over I only kept what I love. I got rid of almost 2/3 of my stuff. Its so much easier to find stuff now. I had so many freebies I would never use or duplicates from kits. I realized just because the kit had ric rac in 5 colours I only needed to keep one. Really I can change the colour myself. It was tough at first but once I started it got easier.

I almost choked when I saw this! But then when I read it, I do HOARD things, but not to use for a specific layout. I use most of my kits at least once as I'm on CT's --but the ones I actually buy? I am prone NOT to use them!! But I can't get rid of them either--hehe!!
I have been getting better about getting rid of bad photos though. --I mean REALLY bad ones though because I still use a lot of them that I didn't think I'd ever use.
