Does 2 Peas offer FREE digi scrapping lessons for beginner digi scrappers?
The reason I am asking is this forum is slow-almost dead. It needs to be the #1 site. We have incredible designers at 2 Peas.
One way to get the forum moving is to offer free digi scrapping lessons for beginning digi scrappers. Kind of like "Stampfest" on the stamping forum.

There are several free (and really great) digital tutorials in the classes and events section of the board that can be accessed at anytime. The tutorials have been around for a few years. Many of us who are regulars very often direct people to them. As well, there's a thread currently in the forum about the latest tutorial from Katherine Bley on creating a cool effect using a photo. It looks awesome! Many of the regulars are also willing to give someone instructions if they ask how to something.
I think the designers, creative team, and Erica ( our digi community director) do a really great job trying to keep the board active. But honestly, it also depends a lot on the members. People need to come to the board and join in on discussions, or start one of their own. Janelle ( and a few others) have been awesome at posting a weekly challenge. We have a lot of people that come and introduce themselves, then they seem to disappear. I don't understand why...this is a very friendly group...I'd say one of the friendliest on 2Ps.
I think there are a lot of great things already in place, but perhaps people need to come and take notice? Maybe there are other things that could be done differently here on the digi board, too, that haven't been done lately. I don't know. The designers also offer freebies quite frequently, so I would expect that to be a draw, too.
The one thing I do miss is a regular weekly chat, like we used to have, but even then, it seems like the participation in that was getting quite sparse. I imagine it would be frustrating to plan on hosting a chat, but then have very few (or even no one) join in. I would love it if this forum was hoppin,' too...a lot of the people I've meet here are awesome people and I've enjoyed my aasociation here a lot. I think others are missing out by not taking part here. |

And Monday we start our month long look at how two of or digi creative team members are approaching the idea of a December Daily album - Katherine and Tara. It should be fun, and educational, becasue they have very different digi styles. Plus they are both really great!

We do have incredible designers here, I totally agree! I got a kick out of this post -- I am not overly concerned about digi fading out. It's a little different on this board because there is also the general board. I can't think of another site that hosts both IRL scrapping and digi scrapping -- how lucky is that?!! Stick around and I think you'll find that things are just starting to heat up at 2Peas again.
I agree that 2Peas is the number 1 site, and the way for it to continue to be is by our participation. This post was a great reminder of that! TFS! |

I started shopping at 2Peas years ago but was never active in the forums. I couldn't tell you why.
Lately I've tried to be active. However, this time of year is pretty busy for me, not just with the holidays, but with family birthday and other family/school activities. |

I'm with Liz, it's a crazy busy time for all of us. But that's one of the greatest joys of digi -- you don't have to clean up the mess if you get interrupted, and you can pick it up where you left off. Yay for digi! |

It's nice to see some new faces around here! It's true, there were years that this board was more lively than it is now, but the 2Ps digital designers & Creative Team members really do such a good job of keeping challenges and threads going.
I for one, have not been very good lately at posting new thread topics, maybe this is a little bit of a wake-up call for me to get on the ball! There are lots of fun digi things to discuss! |

Most of the people I know that were at the start of this board (digital) have got on to doing their own sites or selling their work through a couple of on-line stores besides or instead of two peas.
It has gotten quiet here and on the pub board too. |

Yes, I've been here for a long time, but don't participate nearly as much as I used to because of facebook! I do most of my catching up with people there, and sharing my projects. I'd love to be a part of the resurgence of the pub and the digi board though!! I DO miss it here, but at times it felt like I was talking to myself!! I still post the layout a day threads on the pub--but now we only post it once a week, and you can put all your layouts on it from that week!! Come on over and join in!! I'd LOVE to see your projects. |
