Hi and welcome! PSE is a very robust program and you can do a lot with it. It isn't a photobook maker - in other words you will have to learn how to use the program to make photobooks, but it is possible. |

NO! DON'T BUY ELEMENTS FROM THE APP STORE!!! There are things that don't work with that particular version - actions specifically - and maybe more. I'm not sure why the don't work, but I do know that if you're going to purchase PSE, either download the most recent version from Adobe directly, or purchase the DVD. It's a great program by the way, just takes a bit of time to learn. Yes, you can create photo books in PSE - I've actually never done one in PSE but was actually thinking about using iPhoto to make one. I have done numerous layouts though, and those I have printed at Costco... in Canada!

Hi mrsmoosie04!
I'm a fellow Canadian, there are many of us around! I would also recommend going direct through Adobe vs the App store. But as Dianne mentioned it's a digital program not a photo book maker. I print books with Blurb and Shutterfly with great results. I don't know of a Canadian supplier.

Another Canadian here....
Like the others - purchase the program directly. I just got PSE11 for $49.99 - awesome price - even paying the full $149 is well worth the money. You are not limited to using elements, etc. from one company and you can create your own stuff for free too.
I love PSE and use it to design my layouts.
I design 12x12 layouts and have them printed as a 12x12 photo at Costco
and...
I design 8½ x 11 layouts and have them printed in photobooks.
I have used PhotoBookCanada, Blacks as well as Shutterfly and Picaboo.

I am in Canada as well. I print my photobooks at Shutterfly. I have pse but have not used it yet. I got version nine on amazon.com for $11 a month ago. I have sbc but am still trying to learn it. I just picked up my digital studio from Stampin Up and am really enjoying it. Much easier than sbc. Good luck! | |
