My mom is thinking of getting into digital scrapping. She currently uses CM albums and wants the continuity of the jeeping.
So the question - can she use non-CM content with StoryBook? Or will she need to create in PSE and just use SB to print?
Please don't use this as an opportunity to fill in the evils of CM and why something else is better. She wants the album pages to work together.
Thanks! |

I use SBC for my digi scrapping. I really love it. I've been using it almost since it came out. I'm not a consultant. Actually I'm a consultant for another company that sells it's own digi program and I prefer CM's SBC. I frequently use non CM content. It's not a problem. You just import it as a personal art kit. Works just like CM content does. Hope that helps.

I use PSE so I can't comment too much on the abilities of CM. But we have had these discussions a lot in the past on this board. I think you can use most things--like anything that is a jpg or png. I'm trying to think of what some of the others have said you can't use or do but it isn't coming to me at the moment. |

The only thing I haven't been able to use in SBC is some of the premade templates that are available. CM has their own templates so it hasn't been to big of a deal for me. I'e even figured out how to use various brushes in SBC. |

Thanks for the help. I think SBC is perfect for her. We're going to Mexico for a couple of days and we'll play with it there. |

Use and love it!!! Highly recommend it. You can use digital content from other companies but not templates. I just purchased a monthly membership to pixels2pages. It is a website that teaches you to use storybook creator to its full potential. It is awesome!!! Price is very reasonable and you get free templates and embellishments every week. So worth it. Also freebies on the creative memories project center. I just downloaded the whole last year of freebies from CM. have fun!

I also use CM's software for my digi scrapbooking. I frequently use content from other places which is how I ended up at Two Peas. If you purchase their content, you now have the choice of getting it in StoryBook Creator format or "Universal" format. If you buy the universal format, it can be easily used in PSE as well as the CM program. |

When you say you can't use other templates what does that mean? Do I have to use Memory Manager? I use Iphoto so that would be redundant. Does it work with MAC? PSE seems way too complicated to me, but I am not sure.
