Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie to the Silhouette Cameo but have been doing graphic design for about ten years. I've been trying to do a print and cut, using high quality vector art, but every time I try to print through Silhouette, the images look really pixelated. I've tried using different formats, from the original AI file to an svg and jpeg, but still no luck. I'm really hoping someone can tell me what I need to do in order to import my files as high resolution. Thanks!

does the image look low res on your screen? If it looks good on your screen, your settings might be wrong on your printer? if it looks bad on your screen, Iʻm not quite sure what you need to change there.

Aloha,

The strange thing is that when I view it in Illustrator, it looks beautiful, nice clean edges and the text is fine. But as soon as it's opened in Silhouette, it loses its high quality and looks low res. I tried to search in Silhouette's site but couldn't find a solution there...

Hmmm, the default rez is 600 ppi but check under Preferences>Output to be sure it isn't set way low.
How do the jpgs you export from AI look in other programs? Wondering if you are exporting too low a ppi to begin with somehow. Do you have DE? If so, saving the AI file as SVG and opening it in SS Should result in a rez independent vector.
