I do some digital scrapbooking pages but not too many. I saw this idea and knew I had to copy it for one of my DD's prom pictures! But I think it is lacking something.

After I posted it to the gallery I thought maybe I need a darker paper to 'outline' the whole thing? What changes would you suggest I make to improve the look of this page? Thanks!!

The sliced photo looks great!

I like your idea of putting a thin border around the outside. Or maybe not all the way around it. There are a couple of layouts posted just before yours that use a bright color on just one side. See "twirl" right next to yours and the "december daily" about 7 layouts after yours. The dress color is so striking, I'd go with something in that color family or complementary to it.

Totally different idea: Because you have a large title at the top left, and the foot points down and to the right, it might be nice to have a tag or some other element on the bottom right to balance out the layout. Maybe a tag with some journaling that says whose foot it is, and where it was going.

Very pretty LO.

Oh, that is a very cool idea to break up the photo with staggered rectangles like that! I really like it, actually. I do like your idea to add a dark pp right around the edges just to ground it a little maybe. Awesome lo, I'm going to have to lift this one for sure!

Thank you, both, I appreciate your comments! I'll take a look at those layouts, Nancy. I totally agree there needs to be something in the bottom right hand corner.

I should mention the template is a freebie download from Katie Pertiet - she has some great inspiration

Personally, I wouldn't put any kind of outline, partial or full, around the photos. They flow as one, and I think an outline would make it look fragmented. In my opinion all it needs, is a bit of journaling- or at least the who what why where and when. Maybe a little snippet of a song lyric or something. The layout is lovely!

I really love this layout. I too think just a little tag or something with some journaling would balance it out perfectly.

I agree to put a little bit of journaling on the bottom right. Maybe over a label tag or something? Looks great!

Definitely some journaling. There is a story here and I want to know about it. Cute shoes

I like this idea and agree with the journalling / info.

Only suggestion I had was to move the pictures a little to the left to not cut the tips of her fingers and keep all of her big toe.
