I'm trying out Picasa to organize my digi elements thanks to the comments here. Everything is on my main computer. I would like to be able to work on the tagging on my laptop.
Is it possible to do this? |

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro - Love this lens!!
Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 - Not sure about this lens. I think I got my money's worth. Should have saved for the Canon version.

If the metadata is embedded when you tag, you should be able to convert the catalog to another computer by copying it first to an EHD, then to the laptop and converting at that point. But, I am not familiar enough with Picasa to know if you can convert the catalog; I have never heard anyone say they did this with Picasa, only with the PSE Organizer or ACDSee. I would suggest running a google search on Picasa and convert catalog and see if you can find instructions. Since it's a google product you should get lots of hits! Good luck, HTH |

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I don't want to move my library from one computer to another, I want to be able to access it on both computers.
I synced all these folders online and I'm wondering if that is just back-up or if it allows me to access it elsewhere.
I can't sit at my desk computer for long periods of time, but I can sit on the couch for hours with the laptop. I would love to be able to tag and reorganize on the laptop. But it's not mine so I can't have all the files on it. Plus I do all my scrapping on the desktop. |
