I'm working on ds and dd albums. One for each year. I do it in order of events. That's just the way I like them.

Here's my question. Would you do the birthday as the ending of the book or the beginning of the next? His b-day is May 30. For his Year 10 book, it covers June 2011 – May 2012. On May 30 2012, he turned 10. Year 11 book covers June 2012 – May 2013. Would you put his 10th b-day at the end of year 10 or beginning of year 11?

Does this make any sense?

I would do the end myself. I do my books from year to year and start with the first of the year and end with the end of the year.

For books that I have done for my boys for their high school and college years--I wait until I have all the graduation pictures scrapped to add to the book.

I think however you want to do it is fine - I don't do bound books, but as you describe yours, I honestly think I would probably put birthday pics in both places - as the common segue between the years.
