Gardening and taking care of sick family members is about all I'm getting done lately. Hope that changes soon!

I'm getting irritated with my job. LOL Sometimes work is just not fun. We are also planning the final pieces of our cruise that we are taking in sept, so at least I will have a reprieve from work then.

We are getting ready for two family reunions... One will be here, and then we are heading to Utah early next week. I'm in charge of the games for the one here. I'm keeping it simple and we have just a few things to do...we have to fill a bunch of water balloons...ack! That will be the hardest part. I also have to prep a bit of food and drink...thank goodness each family on my side is also helping.

The one in Utah will be more hectic. For some reason, Dh's sister has us here and there all over the Salt Lake Valley...so not looking forward to running all over like chickens with our heads cut off. I'm hoping I can talk dh into only doing some of the stuff and not all of it. I have a bad attitude...can you tell...

I'm working on a top-secret project, and I'm so tickled about it, I'm just bursting! It's a gift for my DH for our 35th anniversary on July 8.... I have to get it done now (usually I'd be procrastinating) because I need some sewing help with it, and my friend who sews is going on vacation at the end of the week. Then we'll be gone next week, so time is of the essence! I wish I could share it with you now, but I'll wait for a day or two until it's done. Then, you'll have to promise me you won't breathe a word of it to Bruce....

I've also started teaching art lessons. I have two students (teen brother and sister), and I'm teaching them every other week for an hour. It's really been fun, and keeps me on my toes! (and gives me a little pocket money too!)

Other than that, and the trip to California I mentioned last week, nothing too earth shattering going on. But I can't wait to see all of my kids and grandkids!

MELANIE glad you're getting out in the gardens, but hope the family members recover soon...not fun to have to be nursemaid.

DANICA I don't know what you do for your work, but I saw online today that 70% dislike their jobs in US...that's just sad isn't it? Of course, I wish I could find a job, even if to dislike. LOL It's always something. Where are you going on your cruise? I've never been, sounds fun.

THERESA we did a ton of family reunions when I was little. They were always hectic so here's wishing you some serenity as you participate in these.

STEF I didn't know you teach art. Wish you weren't on opposite coastlines, I'd love art lessons. What kind of art are you working on at the moment? And good luck completing your project for Bruce, can't wait to see what you've come up with. You are so creative.

Me? Not doing much. Kids are in a Ultimate Frisbee camp all week and I'm just mudddling around the house.

Debi,
We are definitely cruisers. I think this may be our 7th one. We are headed back to the Mediterranean. Hopefully the conflict in Istanbul will calm down a bit. It was the main reason we chose the itinerary since we had not been there before.

You had asked what i do for a living and I am a retail pharmacist. The company I work for is adding all sorts of responsibilities and numbers to hit, yet they keep cutting staff hours. I don't mind doing the extra things like presentations in the community, offsite flu clinics, business to business marketing, but at least give me the resources to do such. It has been a pain. But at least I have September to look forward too when no one can reach me on vacation. Ha!

Ok, here it is! I created this design and had it printed on fabric by Spoonflower.com, then I had a friend sew the pillow for me, since I don't really sew. I think it turned out really cute, and I hope DH loves it!

Deanna- happy almost 49th anniversary! That's awesome! What a milestone of togetherness!

Deb: I'm teaching drawing. I'm kind of a 'basics' kind of teacher, so we're learning about observing, contour drawing (when you don't look at your paper at all, just the object you are drawing) negative space, and this week we started light and shadow. It's really fun!

Cute project Stef.

I just finished Chris' China pictures and ordered the photobook so excited to have that project done but what am I going to do now?

We are going to have a small graduation party for Chris on Sunday night. A lot of people not available to come so will just be small. His graduation was tonight although he didn't walk. Disappointed for the missed scrapbooking opportunity but will take cake pictures at the party anyway. It was raining tonight and I think it was outdoors so maybe I'm not too disappointed.

Stef that pillow came out really cute...you are so clever.
It
SHANNON I can't believe you finish the China photos already, although you sure have a boat load of LOs in the gallery. You'll miss having a project like that to work on, so what are you going to do?

One more day of Frisbee camp and of course, the weather has turned for the worse. Hope the rain lightens up by morning, or it's going to be a cold, wet last day.

I've done nothing terribly productive. Spent a good time today reviewing and charting Kanji, now doesn't that sound fun?

It's nearly bed time and I'm ready to crawl under a warm blanket.

Melanie - Do you have a big garden - veggies or flowers. I know its been raining a lot around here and my garden (weeds especially) have been growing like crazy. I hope your family members are recovering by now.

Danica - I just came back from my fourth cruise with my mom and we stopped in Istanbul for two days. It was a fabulous place to visit and I'd love to go back and spend more time. We were very lucky as we were there only a couple of weeks before all the upheaval. I hope things have quietened down there by the time you go. If you get a chance, try to visit the cisterns. They are not on the regular itinerary (St. Sophia, Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar) but we managed to persuade our guide to take us there rather than the bazaar. They turned out to be one of the hi-lights of our visit!

Lorell - Good luck with the family reunion planning and activities.
They're always lots of fun but can be a lot of work too. Hopefully, everyone pitches in.

Stef - That pillow is super cute!! What a fabulous idea! Our anniversary is in July too. We're four years behind you though!

Deanna - 49 years - congrats! That's awesome. I bet you'll have a big celebration next year!

Shannon - I wish I was faster at scrapping my travel photos! You've done a great job getting Chris' trip scrapped so quickly. Its always better to get them done sooner, while the memories are fresh. Hope things go well with the grad party.

We're back from trip to Jasper. DH did really well and I met up with him at the end of each day and drove back to the motel which worked out really well. We got some great wildlife photos on this trip which I'm looking forward to scrapping. This weekend we're up at the cabin, getting things ready for when Elaine and Shane and his parents come up for a few days. Our younger daughter Diane is flying in from Montreal next weekend. She works shifts four days on then four off so she's just able to come home for four days while Elaine is here but then will see her again when we go down east in mid July. Its definitely working up to be another hectic summer! I think I'm going to want to stay home for a while this fall and winter!!

Thanks Stef! Happy anniversary to you too!
Jane, I'm not sure what we'll do. We've never really "celebrated" that much, except for our 25th (I think) anniversary, my dd got married that day "because it worked so well" for her dad and I! Not positive it was the 25th, but one of them around that time.

I just happened to pop over here to see what y'all were up to! Good to "see" so many that I recognize...I have been working on stuff for school, and my etsy store so I have really neglected my digi scrapping. Hopefully I can get back into it soon!
Debi- my family loves disc golf- they'd probably love ultimate frisbee!
Lorell- maybe you won't be feeling well, and have to stay behind for some of the "running around"
Stef-love the pillow! too cute! You can come and teach my art class any time! Happy Anniversary to you!
Deanna-49 years is amazing! I hope I make it that long-so far 20 is pretty good!
Shannon-I just ordered my son's graduation pictures, and he graduated last year! You are on the ball!
To the rest of the ladies, hello! Nice to "meet" you!

ANGIE nice to see you dropping by. Haven't seen you in this neck of the woods for awhile. THe digi board has slowed to a crawl since the big change over here on 2peas but there still is a pocket of us from the old days. Would love to have you continue to join us.

Ultimate Frisbee has turned out to be a great sport (both boys enjoy it) and we actually went to a professional Ultimate game yesterday (Seattle Rainmakers)...it was awesome; full of action.

As for this week, I've got nothing big planned yet...how about you?

ANGIE 2peas decided not to focus on paper scrapping and let go all their Garden Digi Girls and digi product designers, and closed their digi shop a couple months ago. Consequently many of our digi friends have left to find new homes on other sites where they can get digital products or to follow their favoritie designers who had to find new stores. Since I have so many LOs posted here, I've opted to keep 2peas my home website and I participate in a number of ongoing threads. I now spend time on other sites though to get my digi fix, yet am trying to keep this board alive at the same time. Hoping 2peas continues to support the digi message board, the digital gallery and keeps our LOs posted so far active. But I suppose that could change too. I hope not.

Wow- it seems like it would have been more cost effective to do digi- but I guess since there is such a markup on the paper supplies they are going with that. That is too bad!
I am going to try to check in more often! Lots going on this summer-

Hi Ang! (Waving madly) so good to see you! Yeah, we diehards just stay and stay here at 2Ps, no matter how sparse our group, or no matter how they don't love digi product anymore- doesn't matter a whit to me, I'm loyal to 2Ps because of the awesome scrappers and because I have almost 900 layouts posted here, and I'm not stopping now!
