Good morning! It looks like we had rain last night. I love how that cools the area. I'll bet it's going to be a beautiful week.

Speaking of a lovely week, this week's mini album class is a "Week in Review." The object of this class is to complete an entire album in a week by documenting the subject's activities throughout the week.

To see the album that I completed and download the pdf you may see them here .

Your assignment and challenge for the week is to complete an album in any size with the theme of a week in review. Be sure to check the appropriate challenge box when uploading your assignment. You will be entered into a drawing to receive some goodies from 2Peas.

If you'd like to share with the group, then post a link here in this thread so we can all see your progess!

I can't wait to see what you come up with. If you have any questions, please post them here.

Great challenge. I could use some day-to-day therapy through journaling in my life right now! Thanks for the class.

When do we have to post it by? I ask b/c I'll be out of town Thursday-Sunday so posting the album is going to be a teensy bit difficult over the weekend!

And for future reference, does 1 week = Monday through Sunday or Monday?

Jen, your album is soooooo cute!! I love the simplicity and yet it looks so involved! You must share how you did the text blocks on the pages with photos! It looks great!

You have until Sunday evening to complete the challenge.

The text boxes were created layer by layer in PS. You can do them in Word, but I just prefer the ease of manipulation in PS.

Oh wow! Love this, but will be hard to have done for this Sunday if I'm starting documenting today.. just because any pics I'd take on sun I wouldn't get till monday since I don't have a printer at home.. But I'll see what i can do. I really love that mini Jen!!!!

Do you want a "cheat code" for finishing this album? Take photos that you can (and then add photos from your stash that fit the theme--that's what I did). LOL!

Great tips for creating a co-ordinated album. I'm definitely going to put the advice to use when I create my "Tea Friends" mini album (still waiting on one photo). The tip about using PS for the journaling is particularly useful, as each page of my book will have the same sort of info about each of my tea-drinking buddies.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be posting for this particular challenge. I am retired & live by my old dogs' schedules. We do the same thing everyday (dogs don't know about days of the week) and we tend to be mostly on our own. We love it that way, but our life-style doesn't suit the challenge theme. I'll have a go at the next one -- maybe my new acrylic mini album will have arrived from Two Peas by then.

Do your dogs have "moods" or "phases"? That would be cute, especially a "phase" one that pretends to coordiante with the moon phases. I know I have moody schedules. LOL! You could document their happy, begging, sweetness, grouchy phases. I would totally count that!

Hay Jen,

I am taking a stab at this going digital with it. I am using power point 2007. I hope you don't mind. I might have to skip a week in July if we move as planned.

I am using lazy days of summer by Sande Krieger.

I love mini's and this one is so cute. Great theme too. I'm going to do something similar and capture a regular week before school got out. I'll be taking photos this week too and possibly doing another mini to capture the carefree times of summer break.

Well, I actually STARTED this last night! That's half the battle in my mind! (I started it around 11:40pm, and finished the cover around 12:30am!) Journaling's really good therapy for me right now so I think a lot of it will be journaling...but that's okay with me if it's okay with you!

I just saw this.

GREAT IDEA!

This is a big week for us...... dd finishing and graduating High School, ds's birthday, niece getting married, school out and summer school starting, father's day and special visitor.

I LOVE IT!.....but will not be able to do it now.

Just know that more people read and follow suggestions here at 2Peas than answer or show their work.

Love the album you've made.

I like the idea of the mini album class as it is something I have not done before. I have made a start with some photos, writing journaling prompts for each day and a sketch for my pages.

I confess I'm not much of a mini album lover, but I was thinking of doing a super mini to capture all the firsts that my youngest has been part of recently (about the last two weeks.)

THanks for the inspiration.

Would a Day in Review (covering 7 hours) be acceptable for this one? I took the kids on a short "road trip" last week & thought this might be a great way to document that one!

"do your dogs have moods or phases?"

Actually, Jen, they generally maintain an even strain these days; however, there are a bunch of digital renegades who are doing this project digitally so I thought I'd have a go at a digi-mini too. That way, I won't have to wait for my mini-albums to come from Two Peas. I've decided to run with the every-day-is-pretty-much-the-same theme and to call the album "Dog Days of Summer." Thanks for your encouragement & good advice. If it weren't for you more experienced Peas, I'd never get nerved up for stuff like this.

Go to your content, click on your project....when your member gallery comes up, right click on "member gallery" then click on "properties"...copy the http then come to this messgae board and paste onto the url. I'm not sure how clear this is! but you can try it and see....
