Hey guys!
So here is the official thread for the 4 Week Vacation Travel Album Class.
Post your questions for me, Rebecca Trump, here - OR just post your comments and links to your albums as you start them.

This week - it's all about decorating the cover for your album!

You can visit the Class , and download the PDF, if you wish.

Hope you enjoy this class - I know I am really excited to get this album scrapped for my aunt

Great album, love the colors you used!

I think I might do this on my Ohio road trip I did last year, I was going to to it another way, but I am struggling with it, so maybe by following step-by-step will get me through it!

Thanks Rebecca!

Well, so far we've got one thing in common: stacks of photos sorted with sticky notes. From there, we diverge. I hadn't realized this was going to be a small album. Although I usually make minis, I've already started a 12X12 for travel pages & was hoping this class would provide the incentive I need to finish it. I'll keep checking the postings though, in case I can scale up some of the ideas & LOs. At this point, I'll take any inspiration I can get, as some of these piles of photos have been sitting around since 1988.

I love your album, and I just purchased the same papers, MM & LYB travel collections. I am so looking forward to this class, my DD is going on vacation next week with her Aunt and Cousin, and I am making two gift mini albums(6x6) as a thank you for taking my her along.

Thanks girls!!!
PjPea, I think you can definitely do a 12X12 if you want. It does not have to be a mini. I just chose to do a mini album for my aunt so she can keep it on display in her home.

And yes, aren't those MM and LYB papers yummy?!

this does look like a fun thing to try ...

Will this project allow for incorporating a lot of pics? my experience with mini's that pics get condensed. I have 2 yrs of a fam vacations to scrap and I'm thinking this might be the way to get it done, but I probably have 300+ pics for each vacation. I know I need to condense, but am wondering if this project will showcase ALOT of pics.

hope this makes sense ... looking forward to the next lesson already

I've been looking forward to this class!

Is it okay if I do mine a little different? It's sort of a vacation-themed mini, but it's for a friend that I visited in Oregon and about the time we spent together. So I guess it is more of a "friends" album rather than "travel/vacation."

Here is my cover page for my travel album, I am using the WRMK 6X6 album, so I could not decorate the outside, so I made a cover page instead. Here TFL

Glad ya'll are excited for this class!!!
As I type this, the banner for this class is up top and it's totally making me !

Valerie!!! So glad you asked about using LOTS of photos... I have a neat idea that i will be sharing during week three about how to include LOTS of photos in a mini album - are you psychic?!
I will be sharing 2 different ways to do this during week three, so stay tuned

Monica, I think your album will be a wonderful gift to your friend...to me, sometimes just spending time with friends is a vacation in itself - it does not have to be about the destination/travel, at all! Glad you are doing your own spin on things!

Bon! Wow!!! I love the colors and mix of pattern papers you used! Perfect cover page!

Alrighty, keep em' coming!

I am still trying to find an album, but I will be looking for one this week while on my girls trip. But I went ahead and made either a cover for it or the title page. Hope that this is okay! Ohio trip

Thanks Rebecca and 2peas for this class!
I can't wait to finally finish this album!

I absolutly love this class, I am so in need of it. Unfortunatly all I have so far is the cover and pages cut for the inside. I guess I have a lot of work to do.

I am getting so many ideas from this class, I do not have any photos yet, as my DD is on her trip right now, so I am anxiously waiting to see her photos...but I did make this envelope to put in the album for pamphlets or ticket stubbs. I have a hard time making pages with no photos, they really inspire me. So I will wait to see her photos on Sunday. Thanks for a great class !!!

I have looked at these threads more than any body else, I bet.

I'm using your ideas on a mini Christmas album from 2000 and just got really started last night.

Thanks for the class!
