Hey there!!

Welcome to Part 2 of Week 6 of our class. The first project/video/pdf for this week is up HERE.

This week focuses on Dimensional Pearls, Liquid Pearls and Stickles from Ranger. Today's video talks about using them with stamping.

And, of course, we need prizes! Each week we will offer a challenge. Just play along and we will pick THREE winners of some prizes from Hero Arts and Ranger. Please post your project by Sunday, 7/26 at 11pmEDT.

The challenge for this week is to use any of the techniques presented in the videos/projects for these paints. You can use any products, but we would love to see some Ranger and Hero Arts! (Both companies donated a TON of prizes.) When putting them in the Gallery, don't forget to click the appropriate box indicating your project is part of the Thinking Inking Class, Week 6.

NOTE: If you don't have these paints yet, you can use other similar paints for the challenge. I don't want anyone left out.

Also, please link your project here on this thread so that everyone can see it.

Enjoy!

Jennifer, what type of paper are you using in the second video using the dimensional paints with water? Is it watercolor or regular cardstock? Thanks! I love the videos and all of the great techniques and ideas. I can't wait to try all of this soon!

These cards are so pretty, but I kind of suck at painting, so it may be a day or two before I get "nerved up" to try this. I'll be using my own motley collection of dimensional paints, which are sparkly, rather than pearlized.

I agree! I never would have thought to paint with them which looks very cool (although I'm not sure my budget can afford one more medium right now ). I have almost every color in the stickles though so I'm going to have to play with the technique of creating the glittery background some more.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful video, Jennifer. Every project you do comes out great! I tried using the distress stickles again today and I've come to the conclusion that this medium is just not for me! But, I look forward to your video on Friday! Thanks, again!

Thanks for the fantastic videos! I have almost all the products you've used so far, but I'm embarrassed to say that I've never even opened about half of them : )

I'm so excited to use them, now. You've given me some great inspiration! Thanks again.

BTW, what white ink did you use on the brown card (or was that embossed)? It is absolutely stunning!

Jayne, if nothing else, just put a big blob of it on the center of a flower. Walk away until tomorrow. You'll be amazed!

When I made up a color chart for the Distress Stickles, I thought they were pretty, but no big shakes. Then I went back the next morning after they had dried and fell in love. Lovely little piles of mica in matte colors but with just the tiniest flecks of shine here and there.

Mendi, like you I thought I had all the colors of Stickles. Then I visited Tim Holtz's blog yesterday. Ranger has added the twelve missing colors of Distress Stickles and five completely new colors.

Here's my first submission for this class: Who Loves You? Card & Envelope

Now that my kids are finally out of school (they are in year-round) and off to camp this week, I can PLAY!!! YEAH...

I used some clear stickles to accent the tree in the envelope. I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

I love these cards and am so glad to learn these techniques. I love the look of pearlized and glittery flowers, but hate the mess of glue and glitter. And I'm a bit initmidated by my Twinks... Now I have other choices. Yippee!

One question: who makes the flower stamps you used?

I'm enjoying the new ideas that we are learning, even if I don't have most of the products. By the time I get them, we're on to the next lesson...

However, here are the two projects that I have done.

I couldn't find the liquid or dimensional pearls. I did use Stickles on this card, but I couldn't get quite the same look Jennifer did, and it doesn't show up well in the scan, anyway. I did use a Hero Arts stamp that is one of my favorite stamps of all time, although I've had it so long I'm not sure if they still make it.

Good stuff, as usual. I totally scraplifted one of your cards and I love the result: Bon Voyage

I stickled the background and the sentiment that I cut out on my Cricut.
