Hey there.

I can't believe this is the last week. Boohoo!

Here is Part 1 of Week 9 of our class. The first project/video/pdf for this week is up HERE. For this week, I am focusing on more ideas for your favorite products.

Part 1 focuses on more ideas for Distress Inks from Ranger.

And, of course, we need prizes! Each week we will offer a challenge. Just play along and we will pick THREE winners of some prizes from Hero Arts and Ranger. Please post your project by Sunday, 8/16 at 11pmEDT.

The challenge for this week is to use any of the techniques presented in the videos/projects for these products - ANYTHING FROM ALL 9 WEEKS. Pick your favorites and have fun playing! You can use any brand, but we would love to see some Ranger and Hero Arts! (Both companies donated a TON of prizes.) When putting them in the Gallery, don't forget to click the appropriate box indicating your project is part of the Thinking Inking Class, Week 9.

Also, please link your project here on this thread so that everyone can see it.

Enjoy!

I have enjoyed these last 8 weeks and they have
flown by. Time flies when you are having fun and
I have definitely had fun learning new techniques.
When they offer you a chance to give the second
9 week class - I will be right here to see it.

Yay! More Distress Inks.

I'll add my kudos to those above -- this has been the most fun I've had in summer time since I was 8 years old. I wish it didn't have to end, but you're probably looking forward to a bit of a rest after all this. Three techniques, three times a week, for nine weeks, is a lot of hard work & we are all grateful.

You're torturing us with sold out stamps again, though.

Another great video! I'm going to miss these classes.

As I was watching it your use of a new foam pad on your inking tool made me wonder. How do you know it's time for a new one?

Thanks,

hey there!
i actually never have replaced my inking foam before. the only reason i had new for this video is because i had used my old ones for classes, and took new ones for my stash.

if you are interested in other classes, let the pea people know. it is up to them.

Thanks again, Jennifer.

Jennifer you have totally inspired me!
I love the videos!! I've watched them over a few times.
Quick question...do you re-ink the distress ink pads? Because as I have tried to ink cardstock using the foam pad - I'm not getting near as much intensity as you do. So wondering if I need to re-ink them?
Thanks again for all of your hard work! I'm having so much fun trying all of the different techniques you have taught us!

Golly gosh Jennifer, if you're sad about these classes ending, think how we feel!?!

thank you, thank you, thank you for each and every one of the videos and projects. You are inspirational in every way.

As far as the foam pads go, the refill packet that ranger ink sells has a LOT of foam pads in it. You can have one for each colour of distress ink that you own, so you don't have to wash. I have put adhesive backed velcro dots on a plastic lid with the name of each colour written underneath the corresponding spot. I stick the ones I'm not using on their dot until I need them. It would drive me nuts to have to wash the foam pads all the time!

Jen.
One of these days I'll get around to adding my badges.

I'm able to open and see the PDF, but it will only print a small section of the middle (all blown up to fit the 8.5x11 paper) and I can't seem to figure out how to change the settings even after trying a couple different things...

I made this today at my local stamping store as a make-n-take, so I can't take credit for the design, but this technique is pretty cool. It's a safari pattern made with alcohol inks. It would be good for all those male cards we all need to make... : )

I've been playing with Distress Inks for a couple of months now & I do believe it's starting to work for me (a little bit). Anyway, here's my card using the pigment ink resist technique. I could find neither the Porcelain Olio Rub-ons nor the Hero Arts Design block I used in "Link Products," unfortunately.

Even though I feel like I'm drowning in things to do I was determined to carve out some time to play along this last week. I just have to say I'm so glad I did! Here's two cards I did featuring the techniques shown with Distress inks this week:

Flower Blossom "Congrats" Card

3 Owls on A Limb Card

I've said it before, but I want to say it again. Thanks again to everyone who made this class possible. Especially a thank you to Jennifer who made everything so easy to understand and inspiring all of us to try new things and shop our little hearts out. We love ya Jennifer!!!

Thanks so much Jennifer for your so many great tips!
What I have lots of techniques left I want to try is really delighted, though a little bit embarrassed.

My 3 more submissions are as follows:
This is the first card that I use 'Dry Embossed Alcohol Inked Background' and 'Card Window Panel' from week 9 - part 2.

The 2nd is also using 'Dry Embossed Alcohol Inked Background' method and other paper flower coloring are from your previous videos.

And the 3rd is extra card to use your tips from Week 8- Part 1 and 3.

And thanks so much everyone who join this class! I have received both material and moral support from all of you and your fantastic works.
I could learn lots of precious things to join here. THANK YOU.
Hugs, Tomo
