So...we've already discussed the 3x4 card punch that WRMK has come out with but what about the "Albums Made Easy"?
Here is the link - just scroll down a bit.
It's very similar to project life but it sounds like it comes with a bit more (though I've never bought a PL kit so don't take my word for it).
I think the designs are very fresh and trendy but I'm not sure I'll purchase a kit. I've kept away from PL kits because of their price, so I guess it all depends on how much WRMK decides to charge. |

I'm not a fan of the colors at all, but it's nice to have so many options out there! |

I don't buy PL kits either, I didn't care for the colors scheme's in the photos but they may be better IRL, but I did LOve that paper with the LIttle Red Riding Hood. I don't know how I would use it but it is so CUTE! |
It was fate that I would enjoy paper crafts...my name is Sharmon (like the TP)!

Thanks for the link. I like the colors of the "Memo" and "Webster" collections - something else to check out when it's released. And a new Crop-a-dile? I still use my old one for making holes (in everything! Maria

This may not be popular but it's how I feel:
I read their Albums Made Easy product preview on another site. When I got to the part that said that their product (AME) was "..often imitated, never duplicated," I was a little put off.
This whole P365/PL concept is BH's brainchild. No, she doesn't OWN it in a general sense, I get that, but to make that statement KNOWING that they are using someone else's specific idea seems a tad hypocritical.
JMHO. I'm not "up in arms" or anything.
ETA: Here is the quote from the page referenced above:
The Albums Made Easy system is often imitated, but never duplicated. We R Memory Keepers quality and expertise will continue to be the best solution to memory keeping for years to come
I intentionally didn't include the link so as not to violate 2Ps TOU. Out of respect for 2Ps, I don't think it's right to link to a competitor.

ChildOfThe60s - I agree with you, trying to pass someone else's idea off as your own is wrong

I wish they would make the page protectors like Becky's because I am sick of trimming.....
Becky may have the idea but her Quality control stinks. 3years and still a mess...maybe American Crafts will make some better ones now that thy have it. But IMO WRMK has the best page protectors. |

It seems to me that Creative Memories had this general idea quite a few years ago with their Milestones albums & snap packs. Does anyone remember this?

Not only do I remember, I still have a bunch! But all the different sizes and configurations now give so many more options than they did. |

There were other companies doing it before Becky Higgins, and if I remember correctly, WRMK was one of them.

Really? Wow. I've been a hoarder, er, scrapper for for over 13 years and never realized that someone had initiated the production of products for this concept before BH.

WRMK's Albums Made Easy system has been around longer than Becky Higgins' PL has, but they mostly did 4x6 pads to go in their 4x6 divided page protectors. They've just updated/resurrected it now that the concept has caught on and gained more popularity among scrapbookers.
And yes, Creative Memories has been doing the same concept for many years before BH PL. |

Long before BH, Provo Craft had a line called "Qwikits" which had various sizes of divided page protectors. You could also purchase a Coluzzle cutting template that corresponded with the sizes of the inserts of the Qwikits to cut out your journaling cards and pictures.
This is going back nearly 15 years ago.
So no, I don't think BH is the one who thought up the idea nor system.

I've been eyeing these WRMK PL-type kits for a while; I particularly like the textured, solid colored cards. If anyone is interested, they are featured on scrapbooksteals today. I took the plunge and purchased a few. (The page protectors are a pretty good deal at 50 for $15). I'll post a review when I get them.

I just wonder if these are going to be available at Target. My local T's has redone their scrapbook isle to feature WRMK albums and refill pages as well as some paper collections.

Like others have said WRMK has had their Albums Made Easy Line for a long time. Way before BH. I know I saw the pocket pages the first time I went to my local scrapbook store. Not sure about the paper pads.
BH's innovative contribution was the 3x4 pocket, Design A and the unique trendy cards, as well as her advertisement and marketing. So don't get mad at WRMK for doing what they have always done!
I have seen some of the older WRMK pads at my Target by the albums.

I don't like any of the designs unfortunately But I love WRMK albums and divided protectors. Nice to see more configurations of the PPs. |

my two cents:
I really love the newest addition to this type of scrapping, the Mambi line of 3X4 and 4X6 cards. They are adorable! So very cute!
