Holy cow… so much going on!!
I know that I haven't been very active in a while around here, but can I jump back in? My muse is (as usual lately) on the beach in Mexico sipping something really strong w/a little umbrella. Meaning… she has abandoned me SIGH Maybe this is what I need to drag her back?

Boy can I relate to that! My Muse took a month's vacation and I didn't like any of the cards I made during that time.
I think I got too caught up in the hype and marketing of what manufacturers and demos were telling me were the hot trends and "what I SHOULD be making, buying etc." and it stopped being fun for me. I was making cards that others deemed "the best" in terms of designs, layouts, products used etc. and I just wasn't comfortable or happy with the ones I was making.
Along the way, I lost me and my own sense of style and what was comfortable for me to create. So I started looking at what I was doing when stamping was fun and joyful process for me.
The first stamps I bought in 2001 were Hero Arts flowers and shadow stamps so I dug those out of storage and started playing with simple layouts and designs. I stopped thinking about what "I should" be creating and just made what seemed "right to me" without any regard to any trends or if it was "good enough".
After a few days of playing, my Muse came back.

what exactly is a tag stamp?
Great question! If you look at the Art Declassified site under Missions, the August mission shows a flower Teri Anderson made using a tag stamp (yep, a stamp that looks like a small tag) for the petals.
These classes look great!! I will be away October 3-7, but I'm planning to definitely take part in anything that happens after I get back! My stamping could use a kickstart with a new technique - I feel like I'm in a rut! |

How 'bout all those who've done recent threads? No prob with the topics, but... If you want this board to survive you have to do more than ask about DTs, brands & only ask for 'help'!
YES! The 'upgrade' is not easy for many of us, but if you're not willing to make an effort... Why should I?

Sure 'Queen' Sandy will e-mail you, but wanted to add my 2 scents [ragweed & skunk cabbage].
We'd love to have you play! If you want to 'host' a challenge/class send Colourful the details. Long as stamping is part of it, it's kosher.
And random RAKs are more than welcome! So glad you're going to attend.

I'm soooo excited to see interest rising even more as the dates near!!! Woohooooooo!!!!! Jester Daniel, do you have your tutu ready?? lol.
I've answered peamails that I've gotten so if you don't see a response back, it's coz I didn't receive yours...trying to keep the thread above updated as details come in.
Garden Girls, I'm so excited you gals want to come stamp with us! Please feel free to talk up the event, join in the challenges, add your own if you like--for WSW we had a weekend to create, but this time we have a whole week so we have plenty of time to do more more more!
For those who want to offer something but haven't a clue what...we're light on scrapbooking-type stamping challenges, since we're mostly cardmakers...there's room for technique tutorials (even if they've been done before, it's always fun to hear a new take on it!), more sketch challenges, color challenges, theme challenges. During WSW we also had some fun RAK giveaways with games---guessing games, etc. So your offer can be something to help us all get to know each other, or to learn new things about the new 2ps site format, or just a random giveaway!
If anyone has a great idea, feel free to add it---you can type it into a post here and/or peamail me and I'll add it to the master list! Be sure to let us know if we need special tools or materials so we can SHOP! |

Hi Sandy!
I am word smithing my challenges for you...and will get them in today...
I 'borrowed' your blog announcement and put it on mine today as well... I made a few edits (added 'guys' after 'gals', and let folks know that I would post my challenges on my blog on Friday)...
Chat w/ you soon...
OH! One idea... as you add challenges, updates, etc. would you put a new note at the top w/ the date? I printed the sched out this morning, and it would be great to capture changes - which I am sure will happen on a daily basis!!!
OK.. see ya...

Bummer! Saturday work has been posted. My challenges will be there [with examples], but I won't get a chance to go 'live' 'til later in the day--& that depends on how 'tough' the day's been. |

Hello Queen Sandy and SOF peeps!
I have a question.... some of the challenges say to post our work in the 2peas gallery, others say 2peas stamping gallery...
Is there a way to make this 'uniform' or should folks post in both places or does in matter?
Looking for some guidance....
I guess if the hosts start threads also, for the challenges and require folks to post a link to their work in the thread that would also point to which ever gallery was used...
So, any suggestions?

Uh Andi, that would be me being a typo queen—should be the stamping gallery for all. Fortunately they now made it easier to change galleries if you (read "I" oops and put it in the wrong one now.
Should be fixed in the OP now. Anything else confusing? I've peamailed all the hosts/hostesses, they should post a thread for their challenge and give any extra details needed---requirements for the RAK, when/how drawing will take place, etc. So they can supercede the general guidelines.
I AM SO EXCITED! |
