Come one come all to another fabulous stamping event! These are home-grown events started by members of the stamping board, and we are delighted 2ps and a lot of stamp manufacturers have joined up to make it even more fabulous! Many of the RAKs offered up are out-of-pocket for the hosts, so please be kind and gentle in your participation . . . this is all out of our love of stamping and our fellow creative friends! Be sure to thank your hosts!
NOTE: One this post becomes sticky (stays at the very top) please do not reply on this thread or it becomes unstuck.

NEWBIES . . . Check out the Newbie Thread for lots of answers!

Starts June 14th!
WSW starts with challenge threads going up on the Stamping Board on Saturday, June 14th; hosts will begin them, and include any last-minute directions, so be sure to check them out! (Especially for the ones who will be adding a twist to their instructions to be sure you do not start ahead!) The Master Thread (this one you are reading now) will have links to both the challenge threads AND blog posts.

Challenges will be open all week!
A few instructions:
1. Upload your work to the stamping gallery. If you are new to posting, see the end of this original post (at the end of the challenge list) for instructions.
2. Be sure to check the correct boxes under Member Challenges when you post. If you do this, your piece is automatically linked to the blog post; but please place a link to your project on the Challenge Thread as well so the hosts can find your piece there.
3. Please do not link to projects completed previously; we want to see your fresh mojo!
4. A single project may apply to multiple challenges unless the host says otherwise in their particular instructions. Add a link to your project on the challenge thread! Some hosts may look at the blog postings to count entries or allow alternate methods of entry, but entries require a link on the thread unless stated otherwise.
5. Keep an eye on the stamping board for chatty challenges with RAKs that will appear during WSW!
6. Hosts can decide what time zone their challenge ends, so please look at their thread to see. You can start uploading projects once Two Peas has the checkboxes available in the Member Challenges section (when you post to the gallery, look for that link and see if WSW items are listed. If not, its not soup yet!)
7. Ask questions! There is a WSW for Newbies thread where things might be answered already. You can also ask the hostess any questions about their particular challenge on the thread they begin on Saturday.

PRAISE!
Remember to praise your way through the gallery! You will want to add a lot to your BOS this week!

PRIZES!
Most RAK winners will be drawn on Sunday, the 22nd, so you will have through midnight on the 21st to complete your projects. Please see the challenge threads in case the host has alternate plans! Winner peanames will be added to the title of each post so you can scroll through to see if you won.

WSW-Masterboard hosted by KardKrazy (Louise)
Challenge thread / Blog post
Create a masterboard and then make a set of cards from your masterboard. Start with a piece of paper 8-1/2 x 11. It can be any color but should be plain paper. No patterned paper. Using any types/colors of ink you desire and approximately 4-5 stamps, create a pattern over your paper. (Smaller stamps will probably work better for this technique.) Once you've created your masterboard, make a color copy of it or use your original if you wish. Then make a set of cards using pieces of your masterboard. You may use the master board pieces for your background paper or just a strip as an embellishment. It's totally up to you.
RAK: surprise grab bag

For this challenge we are going to explore the color wheel and create a card with an analogous color scheme. "Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each another on the color wheel. They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs. Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye. Choose one color to dominate, a second to support. The third color is used as an accent." (source: tigercolor.com) here.) Cards should include at least one stamp, and your entry will count double if you use a Hero Arts stamp.

Use "repurposed" items to make a card, scrapbook layout, ATC, or anything else you like. You can use recycled materials, a form of nature, recycled cards, junk mail, etc. If you make a project entirely from scraps (excluding the base) that will count too. Project must include some stamping (it is WSW after all). Please post your project in the gallery and link it/check box to the WSW Earth Friendly blog and post.
A RAK winner will be chosen at random from the entries on Sunday, June 22, 2008. RAK is a new set of Sassafras Lass Blooms N' Stalks clear stamps and a selection of unmounted rubber stamps from Leave Memories' Monet's Garden.

POST IN THE GALLERY
1. First go to the STAMPING gallery.
2. On the left you will see a link under Participate called UPLOAD A NEW PROJECT.
3. Be sure the first item on that next page says you are posting to the stamping gallery; if not you can change that.
4. Give your project a title (for Worldwide Stamping Week, put WSW at the start of your title, and include what challenge its for) and description, and under Pages select how many photos you want to upload into that project. (Skip the tags for now.)
5. Click the link for MEMBER CHALLENGES and find the WSW challenge so you can check that box; then click Close on that box in the upper right.
6. Then click SUBMIT.
7. After you have submitted, a bunch of boxes will appear below. where you can link your images; click BROWSE and search on your hard drive for the image.
8. After they're all selected, click SUBMIT again.

POST YOUR LINK ON A THREAD
1. Go to the stamping gallery and click on your project. NOT on the main gallery window, go to where your image is the primary one.
2. Then select the url of that page (in the bar at the top of your browser) and COPY it.
3. Go to the thread you want to link to.
4. Start a reply, and look at the Insert Pea Code area, and click URL.
5. A new dialog box will appear, and you DELETE WHAT IS IN that box, and REPLACE it with the url that you just copied.
6. Click OK. In the window it will look like a bunch of gibberish for the time being, but once you click SUBMIT and look at it in the thread, it *should* be a link.
7. Note that it always pastes any of the inserted peacode at the END of whatever you are typing, so if you want it within the text above, either copy/paste it to a new location, or do not type the last part until after you put in your url.
