How much postage does a 5x7 card take? I started out making my cards 5x7 then remembered that last year I had to pay extra postage for that size. I just found this on the usps website:

First-Class letter dimensions:

Rectangular
At least 3-1/2 inches high X 5 inches long X .007 inch thick
No more than 6-1/8 inches high X 11-1/2 inches long X 1/4 inch thick
Maximum weight is 3.5 ounces
Letters that are considered nonmachinable are subject to a surcharge.
Length is the dimension parallel to the address.

According to this, 5x7 takes a regular postage stamp. Did they change the sizing or am I reading it wrong. TIA!

Regular postage stamp for that size. It's not considered a postcard.

I have done 5x7 for the last few years and always use a regular stamp. I hope that the recipient didn't get stuck paying extra on the other end

5x7 cards have always taken regular postage and still do.

Now, what regular postage is, I have no idea! They change the price of stamps so often that I can never remember how much they cost anymore.

Really? My post office is messed up then because I know last year they charged me more to send 5x7 cards. I specifically remember because I received a 5x7 photo card and was surprised when I saw the sender used a regular old stamp. And I agree about not knowing what a regular stamp costs these days! They change so much I can't keep up!
