We'll be visiting family in the Seattle area in July for a few weeks and several of us would like to plan a scrapbook/quilt/knit retreat for friends and family. I'm having trouble finding a place to book our retreat. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I think there is one on Camano Island, but can't think of the name. I've never gone there, however. I will try to find more info. It is Camano Craft Hideaway at www.camanocrafthideaway.com.

My FAVORITE retreat place in WA State is the Keepsake Cottage in Kent, WA. Beautiful cottage, sleeps (if I remember correctly) 14 -- 2 per room, each room is individually decorated and very cute, each person gets a large table (6 foot, I think)/rolling comfy ergonomic chair/ott lite/12x12 stacking trays to work with, meals are yummy, Cricut and Revolution with lots of dies and cartridges available to use, yummy meals. Katie, the owner, is very sweet and great to work with. I know they've been working on a website, but don't have anything official yet. Here's a site with more info: http://planescrappers.tripod.com/clubinformation.htm

I also found this -- more info about the cottage, but not pics. It's so adorable! You can contact Katie through this site it looks like:

A second vote for the Keepsake Cottage in Kent. We went last September and are planning to go again this September. GretchynE described it perfectly and Katie the owner gives 100% to the ladies who stay there and makes you feel like family!

Have fun where ever you end up going,
Vicky

Thanks so much! I'll start looking into them both (though the island retreat, being from Texas, does sound intriguing). Can't wait to visit Washington and the relatives, plus a retreat as well!
