I tell and tell myself YOU DON'T NEED ANYMORE PAPER!!!

But I buying it. Now that I'm scraping way more often, I see that I have similar paper...the vintage looking kind which i love...but now am needing more bright fun papers!

I tell myself I have plenty of supplies...but love getting more!

I'm an addict! I always say at least I have something to show for my hobby!

I didn't feel guilty when I was buying all my paper. I told myself I needed it. It's considered supplies. Expendable supplies. Consumables.

I realized I had crossed over into the addiction realm when I couldn't USE a certain particularly beautiful piece of paper because then I wouldn't have it any longer. I tried to tell myself I would still have it, it would just be cut up and put to the use it was intended. I wasn't listening.

I can use plain colored cardstock with wild abandon. But when it comes to my pretty patterns and specialty lines, I really struggle. And when I finally do cut into my pretty pieces, I save every scrap and cut the tiniest pieces into flowers for another project. I just can't throw them away!

Yes, I'm well rooted into the addiction. And I don't really want help getting out. I love my hobby!

Girl you are PREACHING to the choir. I have told myself many, many, many times, NO MORE PAPER. Yet I find myself at a LSS and what am I buying... PAPER. It is so addicting. I too love the vintage papers.

Yep...I knew I was hooked when my kids started telling me "MOM you don't NEED any more paper!" really loud in the middle of the store as I was fingering some new papers

Also, you know it is addiction when your favorite smell is new paper!

I like to think I am addicted to color and texture. So if I was a knitter, I'd have thousands of yarns. If I was still quilting, I'd have fabrics everywhere.

At least my paper addiction can be contained to a few vertical paper holders!

There are at least two things I love about scrapbooking.....working with photos of people I love and all the pretty paper. My reasonable stash is becoming more and more unreasonable every week! My hubby recently suggested that since my paper drawer has gotten WAY too full, maybe I should start using it! He's a smarty-pants.

LOL. I am not addicted, well maybe a little bit but I know I'm going to use it all someday.

I have a friend who is addicted. Sometime after J's started selling multiple stacks, she'd bought every single stack they ever sold and they were collecting dust in the craft room closet. She shares her home with another, older woman and both of them are serious stampers.

Well, her roomie/landlord found all the stacks and told her it was time for an "intervention." I believe what happened then is the older woman put most of the stacks in her car, then asked the younger woman to come with her. She drove to a church and donated all those stacks to the youth programs.

I think it pretty much takes interventions like that.

I don't know how to do blinkies, so I'm just here in black and white.

I love the papers and I make no bones about it.

If I never use it, I'm not going to feel guilty any more.

I have enjoyed looking at it. Touching it. Dreaming about what to do with it. I might not use it. I might give it away someday. But I will no longer feel guilty for it.

I just need not to buy more!

I am a bonafied patterned paper addict, in the worse sense, and I don't care. I used to 'save' paper, but not anymore. I use it, if it fits the photos I am working on.
If I live long enough, I might use it all. Sometimes when new releases come out and i don't like them, I am grateful for the stash of beautiful paper that I have.
No regrets here, at least where paper is concerned.

I am Amy and I am a paper addict. I knew I had a problem when I started getting a kick out of organizing my paper by color, then by pattern, then by company.

I just left Hobby Lobby and resisted buying all paper! I am sooo proud of myself. (Had to call my sister for her to tell me NOOOO!)

Whew! Glad to hear I'm not the only one!!! I can't leave my LSS without 5-10 sheets of paper! A few weeks ago I realized that my obsession was a little out of control when I looked through my paper stash and came to the conclusion that I don't even like half of it. I hope that I once did but I found myself wondering how on earth I ever thought I would use a lot of it! So, I did a good thing and spent a day going through all of it! YIKES! Once I was done, I took it all to the local school and donated it! I'm not sure who was more thrilled - me (for having the space to buy/store more) or the school!

My friend who exposed me to this addiction was so funny ... she'd be driving us back to work, and looking at her paper at the stop lights. I knew I was in trouble when I scored a beautiful paper one day and fondled it on the way home! It was official, I had crossed over into addiction.

I finally had to admit I had a problem when I filled up my rolling paper cart. I took my Bazzil out and put it in another 12x12 storage case so I had more room. Well I filled it up again and now I carry a milk crate filled with my 'new' PP so it will be easy to find....

I sort through every once in a while and give the paper I dont like any more to the kiddies for their scrapbooks. then I have room for more!!

At least paper is cheap...

I'm not sure if I fall into the addict category- my estimation is that I currently have a little less than 1000 sheets including cardstock-but I am trying REALLY hard not to fall into that territory. Wait, maybe its higher, I forgot about the bulk pack of AC Cardstock I bought a few weeks ago.

The reason I can estimate my paper easily is that I only ever buy stacks, because they are less expensive per sheet and already coordinate. TeachNPea I think you may have said you do that as well. My goal is (once I use up a signficant portion of my current stash in, oh, 4-5 years)to start taking the approach of bringing my photos to a store, buying, like, 2 sheets of pp for each photo to use in an LO, and calling it a day. I think I may just be a hoarder though, so maybe once I accomplish that I will start collecting the mountain of embellishments everyone seems to have!

I definitely am an addict--but it costs less than embellishments, so I tell myself it's a bargain. Right.

Still, I do use it. I just also stockpile it. But I'm OK with that.

Scrappycass, don't you mean a 12 X 12 step program?
ROFL, ain't that the truth!

I knew I was a paper addict when I realized that at my current rate of scrapbooking, I have more paper than I can use in my lifetime.
My signature... scary when I realized that too!

Also, you know it is addiction when your favorite smell is new paper!
Surely not more than the smell of chocolate??? But it's up there!

But this post pretty much sums me up (with the exception of using up cardstock, which I'm equally hesitant to "cut up/destroy" ). It's a sickness... which I thoroughly delight in!

I realized I had crossed over into the addiction realm when I couldn't USE a certain particularly beautiful piece of paper because then I wouldn't have it any longer. I tried to tell myself I would still have it, it would just be cut up and put to the use it was intended. I wasn't listening.

All you paper addicts---when you were a kid, do you hang out in the toy aisle OR the paper/stationery aisle? I can remember going into a store and checking out all the paper, pens, markers, and stuff.

Admit it---where did YOU hang out?

Hi everyone, my name is Jeana and I too am a paper addict. (also a NEW pea and quickly becoming a pea addict!)

I have a huge hesitation to using my favorite paper, I will look at it and think about it. Then I put it away because the picture was just not quite special enough to justify using that paper because is sooo beautiful. I wanna learn to change boo hooo hooo.

I also dont like ordering paper via internet but will do it! it is a 2 hr drive to the large LSS so I try to stock up when I am there (can u say justification?)

My husband is an enabler telling me to go ahead and go to the store "I will sit in the car". Good thing he loves me!

BTW what is your favorite cardstock?

Yep, there's no doubt about it that I am addicted. Patterned paper is the one thing I could NOT live without in scrapping!

I love the papers and I make no bones about it.

If I never use it, I'm not going to feel guilty any more.

I have enjoyed looking at it. Touching it. Dreaming about what to do with it. I might not use it. I might give it away someday. But I will no longer feel guilty for it.

I like your point of view!

All you paper addicts---when you were a kid, do you hang out in the toy aisle OR the paper/stationery aisle?

YES! Now it all makes sense I have always been addicted. Since I could first write, I've always been addicted to pens, paper, stationary, etc. I still am! I agree - this addiction started in utero, so we really can't help ourselves!
