Good morning!

This month's Celebrate the Seasons focus is Mother's Day (don't forget that Mother's Day is this coming Sunday!). I am not very good at taking photos on Mother's Day but I still wanted to scrapbook that event so I came up with the following solution: I grabbed some favorite photos of my kids and I over the last year and use them on a layout themed on Motherhood.

Click here to see this month's sketch, layout, pdf handout and video.

Your layout can be one or two pages, you are not required to use the sketch and it can be traditional or digital or a combination of the two. And as always, if you want to scrapbook another May seasonal holiday or event, please do so. I've included a few ideas on the handout.

The challenge this month is to use flower(s) on your layout. It can be a lot of flowers or just one and they can be any kinds of flowers (die cut, chipboard, stamped, pre-made, etc.).

Don't forget to click the appropriate box indicating your layout is part of Celebrate the Seasons when uploading your layout to the gallery. You will be entered into a random drawing to win a prize at the end of the month + you will earn a badge (or add to your class badge) for Celebrate the Seasons!

If you think about it link your layout here on the message board so that everyone can see it! Happy creating!

Nichol, I tried to download the pdf and it is most unusual looking and there is no option to save it to my computer...is it just me?

gg loves Matthew, it looked different to me too, as well as not finding the save option. But after playing for a bit, I got it saved.
I'm not sure what you have, but I'm using IE, and on my toolbar is PAGE (next to the "house" and under that is the option to save as. Clear as mud?!

What a gorgeous layout! Thank you so much for all this wonderful inspiration. I haven't gotten to my lo for last month because I have worked on several photo books, but they are both great sketches so I am determined to do both this month!

I hope you (and everyone) have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Been there, done that--have the layout!

Nichol

Your layout is so lovely. Your colors and the products used
are just beautiful. I really love the long stem like die-cut
on the left side of page. I also like the cork flowers and
there die too. The photo frame die is perfect for adding
a date, title or a little journaling.

Thanks for all your time and talent.

What a beautiful page! Love that you devoted the whole of one side to the journaling and the way you matted the photos.

Hi Nichol: What a lovely layout - can't wait to do the May Class! I have to tell you, I've done two of your classes so far (Feb and April) and my dh loves your layouts. He really likes that you incorporate so many photos onto a 2-pager. Thanks so much for your inspiration! I know it's late but here's the one I just completed for your February Class...

Mine isn't totally finished. I'm waiting for my daughter to journal about her Sr Prom and that could take a while so I wanted to post this now. I also need to add the title.

I did another graduation layout. My daughter is a doctoral candidate at ASU. Pres. Obama was the speaker and she was luck enough to win a ticket in the lottery so she could attend. I can only imagine ebing in that crowd of 67000 people. Jen tookt he smaller photos and I took the larger one from the computer as I watched on line.

ASU Graduation.
