Howdy folks!
In celebration of a fantastic day of news and to show my appreciation of the peas lets do a giveaway!
I have a fabric post bound album, pattern paper, (exclusives from Scarlet Lime, Studio Calico as well as others), AC embellishments and a few vintage trims.
I will post photos on my blog later today (or tomorrow) but trust me, I am a pattern paper snob and I only part with things I love. I want to use everything that I have and if I can't use it soon I want someone else to use it soon and love it too! (It's kind of weird but I am a social worker and it makes me feel a little better about the purchases if they go to a good home )
So post here and tell me how you found the pub, and if you are game about how long it took to get up enough nerve to post?
My story: When I realized that LO's in the mags were made by people just like me, well, I wanted in. I started looking up resources and finding out everything I could about the process. What are they looking for? What's the best way to type the email? Do you submit it everywhere or sit and wait? That's how I got here. I would say that I was a lurker for a LONG time before getting enough nerve to post. I'm very thankful to have found this place and it has been extremly helpful.
So I will leave this contest open till Monday Evening and will post the winner, (random), on Tuesday. I'll include posts here and on my blog!
Good Luck and thanks again for the warm wishes! |

Congrats on POTD Kristin! And your social worker comment made me laugh since I'm a social worker (in a former life) I can relate! LOL
Let's see ... I joined 2peas ages ago but then stopped scrapbooking completely for several years. I got back into it again last year and it took me about a year or so (when I actually started getting published) to post here in the Pub. Didn't take a lot of nerve since everyone here seemed so nice! I wanted to jump right in as well! |

Congrats again Kristin!!! I joined 2Peas years ago when I started to seriously consider sending my work in for publishing... I wanted to see what people thought of my work and get support for that process. I loved that the PUB had all the latest news on where to send for publishing and how to get published. Then, I would just stalk for awhile and finally decided to jump in and participate as a way of networking. I always know that if I want to find out about the latest DT calls or mag calls, I should check here first! |

congrats to you Kristin. Funny, when you said lurker, that's me!! I joined two peas last year, but just started to get involved with the community about 2 weeks ago. I always dream about getting published or being on a DT, but never new anything about getting my foot in the door. Then I stumbled upon the pub, really cool and I check it constantly, but never have the guts to reply or post. Right now I've been building up a portfolio with layouts and cards. I have to admit that sometimes I get too carried away with buying more than creating. Anyway, it's nice to meet you and congrats again!

An editor at SBE saw some of my work at a crop a few years ago and said I should submit. I had no idea how to do it, so I lurked around here trying to get info on what to do, where to look etc. I still lurk to hear about calls and when emails for calls have gone out. The ironic part is SBE has yet to pick up anything of mine, but I have had luck with some other mags. |

Congratulations! That is very exciting! I honestly don't remember how I found 2peas! It was years ago, though! LOL! For me, posting my stuff online was a matter more of the fact that I shot 35 mm for EVER and did NOT want to make the switch, so I had no means to post. Now, I can't even IMAGINE not being able to share my work online! It's too much fun to share!

Thanks for the chance to win & also for starting such an interesting topic thread.
I am a longtime scrapbooker but had been in my own little world. About a year & a half ago I decided to look online for some scrapbooking stuff & found 2peas. I immediatly joined & posted like crazy right from the start (no lurking for me). The Pub board was a different story. I didn't feel "worthy" to be here until I won a page contest & at least got picked up in an ezine. Everyone here is so nice, helpful & encouraging. I feel lost if I don't visit the LOAD challenge daily & now the Flashback Fridays challenge fuels my love of heritage scrapbooking. This is by far the best all around site on the web for scrapbooking. |

Hi- this is so nice of you!
I joined ages ago and really didn't lurk, just started posting right away- I was so excited to see other people with the same 'obsession!
Since I have joined I have made a lot of good friends, got a lot of inspiration, and my life wouldn't be the same without going on 2 peas every day! |

Congrats on POTD! I lurked here for what seemed like ages. Eveyone seemed so knowledgeable with sharing tips on getting pubbed and posting different calls. I was in awe. I thought one day I'm going to get something published and then I can post there too, LOL!
I got a phone call from Shawna Rendon at Memory Makers back in 2004 requesting one of my layouts. I posted here anonymously. I wondered how often layouts got bumped and wasn't sure that I should toot. After some encouragement I posted on the thread with my regular ID. I've been posting here ever since. |
