Hey, everyone!

Welcome to Part 2 of Week 2 of our class. The second project/video/pdf for this week is up HERE .

This week focuses on Embossing Powders. Today's video talks about multi-powder embossing. I also show how to change the look of many of the embellishments you have on hand. Be sure to come back Friday - the video shows a fun product many of you have asked about!

And, of course, we need prizes! Each week we will offer a challenge. Just play along and we will pick a winner of some prizes from Hero Arts and Ranger. Please post your project by Sunday, 6/28 at 11pmEDT.

The challenge for this week is to use any of the techniques presented in the videos/projects for embossing powders. You can use any products, but we would love to see some Ranger and Hero Arts! (Both companies donated a TON of prizes.) When putting them in the Gallery, don't forget to click the appropriate box indicating your project is part of the Thinking Inking Class, Week 2.

Also, please link your project here on this thread so that everyone can see it.

And a big THANKS to Kristina and Mel for making this FREE class possible!

Fab video, especially loved the embossed buttons and chipboard. Looking forward to when you do the distress powders as mentioned in your video.

Oh that is going to be such fun to do. I have used stickles to change the colour of brads, but I am going to emboss them now too. And buttons, I have so many that are just not the right colour - now they will be. Thanks for these great videos.

Cool! Another fine excuse to play with my Three Ferns stamp. I regret not having added some butterfly charms to my bucket before I placed my order today, though. Oh well, next time, eh. Meantime, I'll fish around in the "misc metal items" box & see what the mighty stash spits forth today.

Can't wait to play!

This has been my favorite tutorial (so far!). I usually use glitter or Stickles on my letters if I want to change them up. I never even really thought about embossing. I can't wait to try the same technique using the Distress Embossing Powder.
And I hope I can find that gorgeous green embossing powder somewhere. I have the Black Glitter embossing powder from Ranger and it's one of my faves. I think the green may beat it out though!

I just finished a layout for A Year of You class and used a thinking inking technique for this week. I stamped and embossed a punched butterfly to create an acrylic look. I really like how it turned out.

Multi-powder embossing is messy good fun, but I think I'll practice it a bit more before I make a card for a grown-up. This card is for my cousin's little boy; he has a birthday coming up & likes animals, especially monkeys. I also embossed the little brads, but they're not showing up too well. Anyway, that's it for today -- roll on Friday.

Jennifer, another fantastic video. I think I will look at all my embellishments in a different way. Let's just say, my heat gun will be used quite bit! And I just stalked up on the distress inks, thanks to your enabling. Now I just need to get the blending tool and start playing!

Well...I am finding embossing powder everywhere! The floor is now crunching whenever I walk through my Scrapping Room.

Have had so much playing with the stuff.

Here is what I did today. Week 2

Wanted to use up some of the bits I made in week 1, so made another card but used the new faux metal techniques.

The Mini Album has the embossed flowers and embossed buttons on the front. I found that the yellow flower looked a bit to see through for my taste...so I painted the back of it in yellow.

I did two different colors of embossing powder on my title. Black first, then used Ranger Bridal Tinsel. It made a very neat effect that the camera didn't completely capture.

I don't have different colours of embossing powder really, but I LOVE the effect that embossing a button gives! I was skeptical at first, but really happy with the results now. I tried it on this card
