I'm happy that they're not going out of business, but I hate that they're going to 6 times a year. They're my fav. scrappy magazine. |

The part I'm not fond of right off the bat is the fact that they are going from publishing Scrapbooks Etc. 12 times a year to only 6 times a year starting with the Oct '09 issue. I've always looked forward to the monthly issues for inspiration. I'm sure the subscription price won't be cut in half even though the number of issues will be. Hopefully, the price of the single newstand issues won't go up to make up for it either. A perfect example of getting less product for more money... just like everything else has become these days. I love the magazine just the way it is. The enhanced scrapbooking pages sounds nice. I couldn't care less about the i-phone/ipod thing since I don't have one. I hope they don't focus too much on the altered stuff. I buy the magazine more for scrapbooking inspiration. I guess we'll have to wait and see. The selection for scrapping magazines is dwindling down to just a few now. Thank goodness for online galleries. |

I guess I missed that part, but that REALLY doesn't make me happy. Especially if they expect people to continue to pay the normal subscription price. I will seriously reconsider subbing with them if they don't lower the price for 6 issues. |

I'm with the people who don't want projects other than scrapping. If they do have some of that content now, it's sparse, which is OK by me. I just want scrapbooking LOs or minis in my mags. I know I can find LOs online, but I like the permanence of a mag that I can take with me. I can't take my computer with me. |

Because of Simple Scrapbooks and Memory Makers ceasing publication, I imagine that is the motivation behind these changes. That they're cutting back to only six issues/year is disappointing, but it's probably in an effort to save money and keep from going under.

Could care less about the application...how many of their customers have an Iphone? I also could care less about anything other than sbing. I dont like the look of the altered projects and if I want to make cards, there are several good card mags already out there. This has been by far my favorite sbing mag for the last few years...so disappointing to here this.

More topics covered - wider potential advertising base -that's what keeps a magazine going. I hope they do keep their scrapping "heart", but it will be ineresting to see what happens. They are probably being proactive so they, too, don't go under. It's a shame they're going back to 6 issues, but they were that way for a while anyway, and they currently do 8/year.

This makes me sad. Scrapbooks Etc. is my favorite scrapping magazine, if i wanted to make other projects i would buy another magazine. Hopefully the changes aren't too drastic. |

I love my iPhone, so I'm super excited about the ScrapApp. The article said it would be released August 3rd-but I haven't seen it yet. Has anyone heard when the new release date might be?? |

Like many others, I don't know what to think until I actually see the changes. The depressing part is fewer issues a year. This month's issue is the best magazine ever. I hope it doesn't change too much. We'll just have to trust them.

I'm still scratching my head, darn near all the magazines are gone (or close to it), yes some local LSS have been hit & had to close, however, HL is still expanding & adding new products. Michaels seems to be improving fm yrs past. So what's up with the magazines? The hobby is not going away. I personally do not feel it's a "fad". It's a hobby that produces something to be used for years to come.

They are simply trying to stay alive in tough economic times.
I'm for anything that will help them keep printing the magazine.
