Hello, all!

This month's class focuses on friendship cards that are single layers. So often, we add bulky layers to our cards that make them difficult to send through the mail to our loved ones. But it is possible to create interested and fun cards that are only one layer.

Here's the link to the class, where you can download a PDF with instructions and watch a video on the three cards featured: A Year in Cards - August 2009

Come join us! Make a single-layer card and upload it to the gallery. Be sure to select this class when you do and your card will appear at the bottom of the class page. Plus, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a TwoPeas gift certificate! Sweet!

For reference, here are links to previous classes:

A Year in Cards - February 2009
A Year in Cards - March 2009
A Year in Cards - April 2009
A Year in Cards - May 2009
A Year in Cards - June 2009
A Year in Cards - July 2009
A Year in Cards - August 2009

Thanks for all your participation! I love seeing what ya'll come up with!

Kristin

I am so excited about this! I just started uploading here, so excuse my silly questions LOL. I still am trying to figure this system out, but it sure is fun. Can we make as many cards as we would like for this challenge? I was thinking 3 with the 3 different techniqes you used. Is that okay?

Love your video! You're right I should do more single layer cards too Most of my cards are so layered, it's kinda expensive to post them ..haha

Thanks for the ideas!

I loved this challenge! Thanks so much, I absolutely love stamping and have been wrapped up in layering and pop dots etc that I forgot about my poor stamps!

This was a great month for me to start this class because I wanted to learn how to make better use of my stamps. I did 2 of out 3 cards. I don't have any background stamps, but now I want one!

I didn't have any transparencies, but I dug up some vellum. The circle came out a bit off-center, but I'll probably end up making another one of these. I had already re-done it once after I use my circle cutter to cut all the way through both sides of the card.

Both cards are in this link: Cards

Is there a way to make envelopes for the 3x3 inch cards. They are such a cute size, I want to make more.

I've created two cards for this challenge, but I'm having trouble getting them uploaded. It seems that they are too big. Any advice? TIA

Nevermind - it seems there is a problem with the gallery!.

I've posted my cards for this month's challenge. The card with acetate is really clear but it doesn't look like it in the photo.
