Welcome into another month of Celebrate the Seasons! We are quickly approaching the end (I already have December's class layout ready).
For November, I wanted to focus on what I am thankful for (i.e. my family) and I created a Thanksgiving/Family themed layout. For my non-American friends consider using a different title to get similar results (i.e. "Blessings", "Grateful", "Thankful", etc.).
Click here to see the layout, video and pdf handout.
Because we're coming to the time of year where we are all busy the last 2 layouts of this year (this month and next) will be more on the "simple" side. Quick to create. The sketch shows lots of little boxes (2"x 2", 2"x 4" and one 4"x 6" photo). You can rearrange these to fit your theme/photos however you'd like. Consider replacing 4 of the small 2" squares with a 4"x 4" photo or even a 6" square photo. Or use more or less photos than shown in the example. I filled in the design with my photos and then filled in the remaining "open" spots with patterned paper squares.
For this month's challenge I went with the November Garden Theme: use stickers! We all have them in our stash, right?!!! I incorporated 7Gypsies & American Crafts stickers into my layout.
To participate:
- Create a 1 or 2 page layout using sticker(s).
- Layout can Digital, Traditional or a Hybrid.
- You are not required to use the sketch.
- You may scrap any theme/holiday but try to stick to a fall/November celebration or activity (whatever says "Thanksgiving", "Blessings" or "November" to you or your family. Family birthday's and celebrations (i.e. anniversaries, reunions, etc. are all good).
- Submit your layout by uploading to the gallery by December 4, 2009 11:59 EST. Don't forget to click the box next to this class (Celebrate the Seasons November 2009).
I will pick a winner randomly from all the submissions to win a Gift Certificate to Two Peas and post the winner on the Education Board on December 5th. For every submission to this class you will earn a badge. Fun!
Don't forget to stop by the Education board to chat and share links to your layouts!
Happy creating! |

Great sketch! I can't believe there is only one class left.
Want to share a layout, Spring Break. I used the April class and The last week of fall stamp camp as inspiration. I know I should have used the April sketch a long time ago, but at least I got it done. |

Here's mine. Got to use emboss and everything I used was from my stash. But best of all, I used 22 pictures and memorabilia on my 2pager - yippee!!
Still need to journal and add some stickers/stamp the gray 2x2 squares. Btw, thinking of swapping out the gray border for blue. What do you ladies think?
