Hello! Welcome to the first monthly class of Patterned Paper Every Which Way! I am really thrilled about this class...it's my favorite subject! Over the next 12 months we will explore new and fun ways to use patterned paper. I will work hard to keep the ideas fresh and colorful!
You can find the class here. There you will find the class description along with the PDF you can download that has photos and full instructions.
There is also a CHALLENGE each month! This month your challenge is to create a layout on which you've cut up a patterned paper and used the paper design as embellishments on your page. To submit to the challenge just make sure you check the Challenge Box when uploading your seed in the Member Gallery. A winner will be randomly chosen at the end of the month for a prize from 2Peas!
Ok, let's get started!! If you have any questions please post here or send me a peamail. It's going to be a great year!

Hi, I just posted my project. My very first post ever!!! I did a card. Hope that is OK. I am new to crafting and don't feel ready to tackle a scrapbook layout. Plus then I'd have to organize photos and that is a whole other beast! Thanks for the great start to the class!
Thanks,
Pam

spent 2 hours last night watching 'chuck' and cutting out flowers from a piece of paper - and was completely overwhlmed at HOW MANY 'embellishments' came out of one sheet of pp!
Then spent an hour while dd was napping going kinda insane with stickles.......
I am hoping to get the LO together tonight I am really enjoying it, and I love seeing what everyone else is doing too.

The more I look at the layouts that have been posted, the more I love this idea. I would never put that many "purchased" embellishments on a page because I would feel like it cost too much.
But it was very freeing to be able to place as many as I wanted and I only used about half of the sheet of paper. I posted my layout in an earlier post, but it certainly won't be the last time that I use this technique. Thanks so much Shannon!

Wow, this has really helped me look at my patterned paper in a new way. I had a pad of paper that I wasn't sure how to use... It had a lot of papers with huge designs that are *way* out of my "comfort zone". This challenge made me think about using those papers in a whole new way, and I felt more free to cut my paper up (which is hard for me!) and get some good use out of it. Thanks for the inspiration! |
