Hi all! Welcome to another year of classes in A Year in Cards!
We're starting off 2010 by making Valentine's Day cards. Just some fun love-themed cards to give to family and friends. You can see the class and watch a video of me making the cards by clicking here: A Year in Cards - January 2010 .
THIS MONTH'S HOMEWORK: Make a love-themed card. Upload your card to the TwoPeas gallery, select this class when you do, and you'll automatically be included in a drawing to win a TwoPeas store gift certificate!

Your cards are beautiful, Kristina!
For the card background, what type of cardstock do you recommend? I have a lot of kraft cardstock, but my other colors are all textured. It looks like you are using smooth cardstock. Is there a brand that you like to use?

lachilles, I use Tombow Mono adhesive. Here it is in the TwoPeas store.
aJerseyGirl, the cardstock I used on this month's cards was from Stampin Up. I would also recommend Hero Arts' new layering papers. They aren't textured and come in super fun colors. Plus, they're one-sided, so they're perfect for cards (white on the opposite side so it's good for card bases--the inside of the card would be white). Here they are in the TwoPeas store.
And to everyone else, keep the cards coming! They look awesome!

Im new to the website. so excited.. ive been scrapbooking for a few years now but stumbled across a youtube video of Kristinia's Finally Friday video. Ended up searching for all of them and learning how to make some cards!! so just getting started on the card making. I have finished 2 out of the 3 so hopefully i can post them up soon. | |

For those wondering about adding links to your message board post, just click on "URL" in the Insert Peacode area when you type your message. Then just follow the instructions that pop up.
And yes, this is the board you can check for next month's class. Each class goes live on the 15th of each month.

I am just wondering what kind of glue I could use for my vellum.I used the glue and seems it makes ir all wrinkled. Thank you Kristina for those nice cards. I can learn more and more to make them and I am happy how much it helps me to learn to make cards. | |

I hope it's not too late to join. This Valentine's Day card was made for my daughter Sophie. Sophie loves our dogs so this Mo Manning image was a perfect choice to use in a card that celebrates love. Inside is the sentiment "Thinking of You Always Makes Me Smile"
