Kat... You'll appreciate this... I actually scrapped my Christmas 2010 photos with paper, and I don't like the layout. At all. So, I decided to redo it digitally! I'm not done, yet.

Have you been able to get any great fall photos to scrap? Our foliage is patchy and not-so-brilliant. We need to get out to the apple orchard... buy some pumpkings... go to a corn maze. Then I can find a use for some of these new fall kits.

LOL - I'm still trying to tell myself I'll actually finish one of Shimelle's holiday classes. I think I'll take last year's format, which I started but didn't finish , and lay out pages ahead of time. But - I NEED PHOTOS! Would it be "wrong" to set up the tree now, just to create some photo ops!?

We're still too damp here (actually drizzling rain tonight, too) for anything to really change. I was supposed to have a fall landscape photography class last weekend and this ... but it got cancelled. I might just "have" to go down to the river and see if there's anything worth photographing there ... I will say, though, my chrysanthemum's are coming into bloom, which is nice - just budding, so another week, maybe. Last year I purchased some mini pumpkins, just for a photo op - they were just too cute to pass up. I saw white ones at the store the other day, so that might be on my list soon.

My name is Laura and I am just now getting into digital scrap booking. As with most stay at home moms I push myself too much and my doctor has told me to take up a few hobbies for my health, lol.
I am also a full time student getting my BAS in accounting and we are a proud military family.

Hi, everyone -

I'm a fairly new pea, and brand new to the digital world. But since I just got PSE =) I figured it's a good time to dabble my toe in the water.

I saw the lessons here and hope I'll still be able to follow them with the newer version. I also sprang for the Jessica Sprague intro class since it's on sale and I've heard good things.

Hoping to made a modified Project Life (weekly/monthly, not every day!) as a way to practice my (hopefully!) new skills. I do 8.5x11, so hoping I'll find templates or the skills to modify 12x12 templates.

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley and I am a wife, mommy to my 1-year-old son, hobbyist photographer and new digital scrapbooker. I can't wait to get started and have already learned so much here already.

My goal for 2012 is to do a modified Project Life. Probably more like a 52-week project.

New to the message board but not new to Two Peas- I have been a paper collector/scrapper for about 10 yrs although more of a collector for the past 5yrs. I have the CM digi program although have never actually created a full page. I recently left the work force to be home with my 2 boys- 7yrs & 4yrs. I look forward to learning from you ladies and getting caught up on my pages.

Hello Digi-Scrapbook "Pea"rs!

My name is Vicki and I am an electrical engineer and new wife (one year next month!). I am an amateur graphic designer (small freebie projects for myself, friends and family) and I am completely new to scrapbooking of any kind!

I became interested in scrapbooking only recently; I want to scrapbook by husband's half marathon bibs and pictures. After doing a little research and discovering the digital side, I'm continuing with the paper "bib book" but I absolutely MUST get involved in digital scrapbooking. I am so excited to play around with images, put some layouts online and learn so much from all these beautiful veterans.

Hope to be in touch with all (okay, at least most) of you soon!

Vicki

Hi! I'm Olivia. I've had an account here for a while, but I haven't been that active.

I'm 15 and I'm a Christian. I'm going into my sophomore year in high school this August. I got into digital scrapbooking in 2008, and I love it!

If I'm not scrapbooking, I'm probably procrastinating, reading, doodling, on Facebook, playing with my camera, or with my family or friends.

Totally thought I'd posted to this thread a long time ago...

I'm Becky. Definitely not new to 2peas (been around since day one, despite my info over there <---). I've been a paper scrapper for almost 22 years. Started dabbling in digital back in the late 90's when it first started becoming an idea. Really didn't get into it too heavily until 2007-2008.

I've served on a few creative teams both on the digi and paper sides of things, and had a few pages published here and there. Now, I just play for fun. I live near the Oregon coast with my dh and kids (two college age, one high school). I work for a hospital and also own my own photography business (I do seascape and nature photography).

I don't have a blog, but I have a few pages in the gallery if you're so inclined.

Thanks for reading! I'm pretty bi-bordal, so I flitter around all over the site.

I'm Ambar. I am not exactly new but I've definitely been away a LONG time. I am returning to being a SAHM to six kids. Four are mine two by marriage ages 14, 12, 7, 6, almost 5 & recently 4!

My husband and I were just married this past August and I moved to St. Louis as a result.

I started scrapping after my 12 year old was born and switched to digital a couple years ago. I am looking forward to catching up on some serious backlog and getting familiarized with all that is new in this world. I always come back to TwoPeas! I'm kinda of proud of my super low Pea number LOL

Here's a link to the blog about our wedding. So you guys can see everyone

So glad to have you back - we hope you still feel comfortable here and share in the forums and gallery.

How fun that this thread was bumped.... I hadn't looked at it for years! I wonder how many of the newbies who stopped by, are still here, lurking (many if not most, have very low post & layout numbers) and digiscrapping? But my guess is there are a lot of people who post regularly, who never stop by the boards to 'chat', and lots who just stop in to see the gallery yumminess, who never post their own layouts.

If you are reading this, and are one of those lurkers, I hope you take a chance, and post a layout or two... and perhaps find a topic that interests you, and post a comment. It's so fun to get to know new people, but it's not as much fun when we are like ships passing in the night..

So as of 1/1/2013 I went from work at home mom to stay at home (still homeschooling)mom. Yeah!! I am still getting used to the fact that I do not have a million business related things to do every morning and can take time time to just relax with my coffee. I am looking forward to having all the time I WANT to scrapbook and be creative for myself and my family without any pressure.

Terry, this sounds great! You earned it. Enjoy!

Hi My name is Dannyel. I am brand new to digital scrapbooking. I have been a traditional for many years but have decided to give this a try. My youngest child just got married so I am finding some extra time on my hands. First of all, I have photoshop elements 8 that I have never figured out how to use. Should I update before I try doing my first layout.
Any suggestions for a Newbie is greatly appreciated.

hi Dannyel!

hmm. I'm using PSE9 and haven't felt the need to upgrade yet and version 8 is a lot like 9. Each time they upgrade it seems like they add more capabilities and the program gets more user friendly so I don't think you'd be sorry if you upgraded.

There is a free series here at 2Peas Digital 101 that was done with an older version of PSE that you'll probably find very helpful for learning your way around with version 8. There are also some really good classes (not free) at Jessica Sprague and Renee Pearson.

And if you need some stuff to get started, here in the store just change the dropdown to search by Priced Low to High and all of the free stuff will come up first. There are layered templates, quick pages, papers, alphabets, plenty of stuff to get started.

Have fun!

Hi Dannyel! I think you'd be fine to start in PSE8, and then once you're feeling more confident in the program you can consider whether some of the newer features would be of value to you. 8 is a good version, and you'll be able to do p-l-e-n-t-y of stuff! Just ask questions on the main digi board if you get stuck, we're a helpful bunch.

Hi Nicole! I think I'm the newest one here! I just recently found this forum and it really inspired me to be more creative and artistic enough especially there is a digital advancement in our technology today which can help us to try the new and innovative ones in creating artistic things. I know I'll be learning a lot from this forum!

I'm new!

I have been scrapbooking off and on for ten years or so. I have to admit that I've not stayed up on it though since my 4 year old was born. I don't think I've finished his first year. I started doing digital scrapbooking some a few years ago. I like digital scrapbooking... though it makes me feel bad about all the supplies I've collected the past 5 years!! Hoping to find some inspiration here and get my kids' scrapbooks up to date!

Hi everyone, I admit I am not a scrapbooker, but probably could get hooked very quickly! I have been designing and creating paper projects since I was little, and am looking for more friends in my "paper arts" world. I'd love it if you would like to look at my first little album, and we could get to know each other better!

Hi! I'm Katharine - avid crafter of 30 years and homeschool mom of 16 yrs. I live in the Memphis area with my hubby and daughter. I began scrapbooking in the 90's when products starting coming on the market. But took a break for awhile. This year I have a big project I want to tackle: organizing all our photos and beginning creating books again. I am currently trying to decide between traditional scrapbooking or moving over to digital scrapbooking.

Hello everyone! My name is Leah and I am a new designer here at 2Peas! I am so super duper excited to be here. A little about me.. I have a 9 year old daughter.. my husband and I are huge geeks. Our favorite pastime is playing minecraft.. We also have other equally geeky likes.. Star Wars, Firefly, Dr. Who, etc. We are rubbing our geekiness off on our daughter who is now a huge minecraft fan as well! On the other side I love period drama of any kind! Hmm.. what else. My favorite color is hot pink! If I was married I'm pretty sure I'd be a crazy cat lady.. hmm.. what else? I'm just really happy to be here! <3

I guess I should introduce myself too.

I'm a new designer here too but I've been floating around digi for a long long time - like back in 2003 ancient times. I used to own a web hosting company which is how I actually discovered digi scrapping (one of my clients was one of the first digital stores/forums).

Let's see... I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband, twin daughters (12) and son (8). This March will be our 18th anniversary. That just doesn't seem right to me. lol! When I'm not designing or scrapping I like to read. I'm currently coaching both my daughters' and son's YMCA basketball teams which has been a lot of fun.

I'm so excited to be joining the team! Can't wait to get to know all of you.

Leah - you are a geek after my own heart!! Big Dr. Who fan too along with Battlestar Galatica.

Hi Peas
I'm Melissa from Perth, Western Australia. I'm a wife and mum of one little girl (Emily 3.5) and a baby boy (Edward 9mo). We just started homeschooling Emily this Feb
I've been a digi scrapper for 6 years now and love it!

I use pse11 and usually print 8x8 photo books I'm thrilled to see some familiar names here, like Mommyish and Stef
In a previous life I was a graphic designer and did lots of training in my role so it won't be a surprise to hear that
I've been teaching in person classes in Perth and Kalgoorlie since 2009 and love helping people capture their memories. I also teach over at http://digitalscrapbookinghq.com/new/

Hiya - hopefully it's not too late to introduce myself! I've been dabbling with digi for years but recently have decided to really dig in and give it a go. I've recently completed a number of layouts I'm really pleased with - more pleased than I've been with my paper layouts lately. Looking forward to getting further into the digi world!

Welcome Meg. You are now part of the "elite" group of digi scrappers left at 2peas (we refuse to leave even if they're no store or digi designers left) so jump in and chat and share your projects and ask questions any time. We always enjoy someone one new to our diminishing yet diehard group.

Welcome Meg! I am a semi-newbie. I was a diehard paper scrapper and figured out I liked buying things more than scrapping with them. I prefer digi because I can create on my computer while I watch tv with my husband and there is no mess!!! My husband really like that there is no mess. I think I have made more layouts in the past two months than I have in the past 5 years. Welcome! These ladies are very inspiring and please share your creations.

Hey there! My name is Kendra and I was a die hard paper scrapbooker, teacher, consultant and on a design team a few years ago but lack of time and space cause me to cut back. I never got too much into digital scrapbooking back then because the software was frustrating, the options limited and it took just as much time as regular scrapbooking.

After trying several online publishing companies over the years, I have a personal favorite that allows me to do easy peasy projects and get them shipped to me. And now...I am hooked.

I have two daughters and a stepson and stepdaughter. I work full time in the healthcare field.

I look forward to learning and sharing and getting to know you all!
