I liked the fact that they did a thing on pet layouts using animals other than cats, dogs, and birds! Saw a hamster, spider, lizard, etc. Yes some layouts were small, but hey, at least it's not only cats, dogs, and birds.

This month wasn't my favorite issue, but that's okay. Some months are just going to be like that.

I wasn't crazy about all the baby, wedding, and pets LOs because I don't scrapbook any of those things, but I did love the feature on all the DIY flowers. I can't wait to try making some.

It's around 70 degrees here today and sunny, and my SB Etc. just came in the mail. Headed to the park to check it out while youngest DD plays!

I was so worried when I found out the format was going to change and include more kid friendly projects. I don't have kids, so I really wasn't sure it would still be a mag I would buy. I really like this issue. Love the DIY flowers and the Pet ideas too.

So disappointed mine didn't come today! I have to work all weekend and was really hoping to be able to bring it to work to look at when we're slow. I am SO tempted to buy it off the shelf at work! That's just horrble. I'll make myself wait...lol

It was just okay for me, too. I liked the DIY flowers and the pet pages. But I find it really odd that some of the layouts are super tiny and none of the materials or creators are credited for them.

I didn't get any ideas from this issue. <shrug> There's always the next month.

I agree, not the most inspiring issue I've ever seen. The DIY flowers were my favorite part too, I'm going to make some myself.

Got mine on Friday and I'm almost done going through it. I like so far what I've seen. Is it just me or does this issue feel thinner for you too?

Definitely thinner but that my be due to lack of advertisements vs. content.

Didn't see anything really interesting in this issue and hope the next one is better - I have really enjoyed the last few issues. I will go back through it though and look at the sketches.

I loved the flowers and even ran out today to get the 3" scallop punch.
The rest didn't impress me much and didn't like the wedding stuff.

I also didn't care for the wedding section. This issue was okay for me. Honestly, I think Scrapbooks Etc. has the opportunity to step up their game and really shine since they don't have as much competition in the magazine department. Instead they seem to be sliding some.

Honestly...I don't like the changes. It was PERFECT before they changed it.
Also, I really wish they wouldn't do baby and wedding layouts in the same issue. Those only apply to a small percentage of people (especially wedding!) and you should spread those things out more!
I was disappointed. I have had mine a couple of days and only glanced at it. No desire to pour over every detail like I used to have. It was my very favorite for years.

It was my favorite also but now it has the feel of a cheap discount magazine. You can tell they really cut their budget.

I agree with Tracie; it used to be my favorite, but if they don't "change back" from the changes they've made I don't think I'll be saying that much longer.

It is my favorite usually. I cannot say this month because I just received it today and haven't looked at it yet. I did like CK magazine this month. I discontinued CK a year ago but may go back.

I love when they have pet layouts. It's the only time I can get my kids interested in a scrapbook magazine. We were looking for a bunny layout but didn't see one.

Got mine today. When there were more scrap magazines (and I must have subscribed to 5 at one point), Scrapbooks Etc. was one of my favorites. But I didn't like this issue at all. I didn't think the layouts were inspiring at all....... except for maybe 3 of them. I know I will be purging this issue immediately rather than waiting 12~15 months.
