Am still trying to figure out how to make a continuous border w/ the Create (no "fit to page" option as on the Expression)...I've heard that it can only be 11.5", not 12", but still not sure how to do it. Tried for hours w/ the flip-flop border on "lifes a beach" and ended up just doing the two at a time and sticking them together on the page. TIA for any help!

Without Design Studio, you are probably going to have to pick out something in the "border" function of the keypad of the cartridge you are using and find a border to print. You will have to choose the largest size the machine will let you choose, which I would think would be 11.5 for a horizontal border or 5.5 for a vertical border. (I think Life's A Beach has just one vertical border, the Tahiti mask looking one)

You aren't going to be able to cut say, a beachball and make them attached to each other in a continuous border (unless you use/have Design Studio)

Does that make sense?

I have the same question about the continuous border. I tried to print one on Daisy Chain.

So, I would need DS or something that I can make a weld with, right?

I don't want to get really involved in a computer program or sink a bunch more money into the Cricut hobby. I would not mind DS because it's relatively inexpensive. Before I buy it I want to make sure that it would connect things together.

Hope I"m asking that so it makes sense.

If you don't have the Cricut Expression, then you would need some type of software to weld the cuts together.

You should download the trial version of Design Studio for free and play with it. To weld, you just put a check mark in the box after you "scrunch" or overlap what you want. When you cut with the trial version, you'll get a slash thru your item but you'll be able to see that it can do.

HTH!

You can get a continuous border with design studio, but I don't like the fact that you can't set size less than 1" depth, or make letters, etc. smaller.

I have the E. I may just need to play with that cart some more. It doesn't come with a book or anything.
